VIDEO: First Look - Pet Shop Boys Short Film 'Vocal'

Pet Shop Boys are an English electronic pop duo, consisting of Neil Tennant, who provides main vocals, keyboards and occasional guitar, and Chris Lowe on keyboards and occasional vocals. Check out their short film 'Vocal' below!

This short film has been produced and directed by the filmmaker and photographer, Joost Vandeburg. He has created it using authentic amateur film footage shot at various raves in the late 80s, along with some footage from the Haçienda in Manchester. The video (and the song) was inspired by the way British youth at this time found its own freedom with a new culture epitomised by dance music and raves: "It's in the music/It's in the song/And the feeling of the warmth around us all is so strong."

'Vocal' is released as a physical single on July 22. The track is already available to download. The new album 'Electric', produced by Stuart Price, is released on July 15. Remixes of 'Vocal' are to be announced soon.

Pet Shop Boys perform live in the UK this week as part of the worldwide 'Electric' tour. Tonight they play London's O2 Arena, and on Thursday the tour reaches the Manchester Arena.
