UglyRhino Productions will present TinyRhino: Horror Movie Edition on Tuesday, October 29th at 8 p.m. Come celebrate Halloween with six spooky new plays by up and coming playwrights and directors that pay homage to the classic horror movie genre.

TinyRhino is: The Theatrical Drinking Game. It is also UglyRhino's take on the ten-minute play festival. Every month we commission six playwrights to write new plays, each including the same five dramatic elements. They might show up at any time, in any order, and with any frequency. When they do show up, they are cues for the audience to drink.

This month's playwrights include: William Akers (winner, John Golden Playwriting Prize in Excellence), Kevin Armento ([not just] 3 New Plays), Abby Chapin, Ricardo Perez-Gonzalez (Neon Baby, Teatro Pregones), Doug Sharf (Centralia andRhinoceros, UglyRhino), and Christopher Sullivan (Youngblood).

This month's directors include: Dan Beaulieu (Artistic Director, Seven Stages Shakespeare Company), Rachel Dart (Run. Run. Stop., Williamstown Theatre Festival), Kate Flanagan (Much Ado About Nothing, Classic Stage Company), Lauren Nordvig (Passion Play, Epic Theatre Ensemble), Stephanie Ward (Lather, Rinse, Repeat, Ensemble Studio Theatre), and Matthew Wise (Centralia and Grief, UglyRhino).

October's horror movie-themed elements will include: someone speaks in tongues, someone brandishes a weapon, someone says "I'll be right back", someone gets cut, and we hear a classic horror movie theme song.

TinyRhino will be on Tuesday, October 29th at 8pm at Littlefield (622 Degraw Street between 3rd and 4th, Brooklyn). Tickets are $10 at the door, which includes one free beer. Every TinyRhino also features music, drink specials and giveaways, and a cocktail hour following the performance.

LITTLEFIELD is a performance and art space in Brooklyn's Gowanus neighborhood nestled between Park Slope and Carroll Gardens. Housed in an old, 6200-square foot warehouse dating from the 1920s, littlefield merges the Gowanus' industrial past with a sustainable future. Its flexible design allows littlefield to book diverse programming, occupying various performance spaces either simultaneously or slightly staggered. littlefield has hosted a wide spectrum of programs including indie rock, hip-hop, dance, soul, jazz, experimental and reggae, as well as monthly art exhibits, literary events and film screenings. Owners Julie Kim and Scott Koshnoodi hope their vision of opening up a diverse performance and art space will serve as a beacon for the Gowanus as development continues to rejuvenate the neighborhood.
