Bay Area Cabaret continues to present Bay Area audiences with debut performances by Broadway's top talent. Following its Opening Night with Kelli O'Hara and two sold-out shows by Tony-winning Hamilton star Leslie Odom, Jr., the series continues with Tony Yazbeck, an acclaimed "triple threat" Broadway performer on Sunday, December 4 at 7:30 pm.

On their way to the show, patrons will get to experience the Fairmont's breathtaking lobby décor and floor-to-ceiling Christmas tree, and pass through the life-sized gingerbread house.

In keeping with the upbeat spirit of the evening, Yazbek will sing and tap dance the story of his journey from childhood to Broadway (at age 11) to his Tony-nominated triumph in On the Town. Musical theater fans and young Broadway-minded singer/dancers will especially appreciate this show at the storied Venetian Room in the Fairmont Hotel (950 Mason Street).

Show tickets are $58 online at www.bayareacabaret.org or at (415) 392-4400. The Fairmont Laurel Court offers a $47 holiday buffet and free parking with advance reservations (415) 772-5260, a festive pre-show treat.

In Broadway parlance, a "triple threat" is one of those rare performers who stands out as a singer, dancer and actor. Tony Yazbeck is indeed at the top of the list of young talent making his mark onstage today. Considered "our generation's Gene Kelly," Tony Yazbeck was described by The Hollywood Reporter as: "Just the right mix of masculinity and vulnerability and floating-on-air grace." Last year, Yazbeck received a Tony Award Nomination for Best Leading Actor in a Musical for his performance as "Gabey" in the Broadway revival of On The Town. San Francisco experienced Tony Yazbeck's talents at a semi-staged version of the show reprised by the San Francisco Symphony in May 2016 to thunderous ovations and ecstatic reviews. In his acclaimed one-man show, The Floor Above Me, Mr. Yazbeck tells his compelling story through songs ranging from Irving Berlin and the Gershwins to more modern compositions by Coldplay and Jamie Cullum. His Bay Area Cabaret show celebrates the release of his first solo CD.
