Tickets are now available for the 27th Season of the Contemporary American Theater Festival (CATF) at Shepherd University.

Ticket prices range from $35 to $65, with discounts for students, seniors, active and retired military members, West Virginia residents, and for Sunday evening performances. Package discounts are also available. The Festival takes place July 7th through 30th, with matinee and evening performances Tuesday through Sunday.

"This season demonstrates that we are driven to make stories out of the sometimes confusing world around us. These plays are powerful reminders that contemporary theater can be as timely as this morning's social media, but infinitely more illuminating," declares Ed Herendeen, CATF's Founder and Producing Director. "This repertory is a living example of our collective commitment to fearless artistry. Each of these plays will lodge themselves into your head and heart. You will think about them, remember them, and talk about them."

This year, the Contemporary American Theater Festival expanded their season from five to six productions, giving audiences more choice in play selection and more opportunities to experience the Festival. "Seeing four, five, or six of the shows really allows an audience member to see how the different scripts interact with and speak to one another," Herendeen continues.

Rep4 Packages include performances in the Frank Center and Marinoff Theater. Flex5 Packages allow patrons to see any five out of six shows at the Festival and Rep6 Packages offer patrons a ticket into all six productions.

CATF's 27th Season includes: The Niceties by Eleanor Burgess; Welcome to Fear City by Kara Lee Corthron (world premiere); Wild Horses by Allison Gregory (world premiere); Byhalia, Mississippi by Evan Linder; Everything is Wonderful by Chelsea Marcantel (world premiere); and We Will Not Be Silent by David Meyers (world premiere).

To order tickets to Contemporary American Theater Festival, visit CATF online at www.catf.org or call the Box Office at 800.999.CATF (2283). Box Office hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 5pm. Single tickets range from $35 to $65; packages range from $120 to $305.

The mission of the Contemporary American Theater Festival is to produce and develop new American theater. Since CATF's founding in 1991, the Festival has produced over 115 new plays, including forty-three world premieres and ten commissions.
