The Omaha Community Playhouse (OCP) will produce the world premiere of Recommended Reading for Girls May 3-June 2, 2013.

This is the world premiere of Recommended Reading for Girls! Written by Omaha playwright Ellen Struve, Recommended Reading for Girls invites you to step into a storybook. When Amy returns to her childhood home to care for her ailing mother, she discovers uninvited guests from her favorite childhood novels. A beloved crew of heroines turns the household topsy-turvy as Amy struggles to reconcile with the stories she loves, the people she loves and the stories she has told herself in this warm, funny, fanciful play.

Recommended Reading for Girls by Ellen Struve will be directed by Amy Lane, featuring Christina Rohling, Mary Kelly, Laura Leininger, Amy Schweid, Mika Caplan, Olivia Sather, and Shannon Jackson.

The production runs May 3-June 2, 2013; Thursday-Saturday, 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, 2 p.m. at the Omaha Community Playhouse, Howard Drew Theatre, 6915 Cass Street, Omaha, NE.

Tickets can be purchased at the OCP Box Office, by calling (402) 553-0800 or online at www.OmahaPlayhouse.org or www.TicketOmaha.com. Single tickets are $35 for adults, $21 for students. Group tickets are $23 for adults, $15 for students.
