BWW Interviews: Being in the LES MISERABLES Broadway Orchestra is Not the Pits

Musicians Will Curry and David Creswell are not up on the stage every evening acting and singing in Les Miserables on Broadway, but they are actually under the stage...in the orchestra pit playing violas. Many people may not think of the orchestra in a Broadway musical as they are focusing on the action going on center stage. But, without a group of talented musicians playing under the stage, center stage would lose much of its intrigue. The musicians are often underappreciated and forgotten while working just as hard as the actors. Will and David joined me in a Google Hangout and shared with me the pleasures of being part of such an iconic show. And remember, next time you go to the stage door looking for the actors, remember to thank the musicians for their hard work and dedication too.
