Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon Names Darren Doutt As New General Manager

Jo Schuman Silver, producer of Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon, announced the appointment of Darren Douttas the company's new General Manager beginning today, February 6, 2017.

Says Schuman Silver: "It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I welcome Darren as our new General Manager. I am thrilled to have him join the team and look forward to working together as we continue to entertain theatregoers from around the world."

Adds Doutt: "This is a dream come true! I have been a fan of Beach Blanket Babylon for years and I am honored to be working side-by-side with some of the best theatre professionals in the business. It's an exciting time for Beach Blanket Babylon and I looking forward to joining this amazing company."

Darren joins Beach Blanket Babylon fresh from the national tour of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, where he served as Company Manager. His other Company Management credits include the national tours of War Horse, Ragtime, Blue Man Group, Tony and Tina's Wedding and Disney's The Lion King (National tour, Los Angeles and Las Vegas productions) Chicago (Broadway) and The Black Rider (Los Angeles).

Darren has worked on The TONY Awards, The Trevor Project and Point Foundation. He has a BA in Journalism/Public Relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
