As we all know, the 23/24 Broadway theatre season has been one of the busiest in a very long time with many new plays and musicals opening within a short period. One of those shows was The Notebook. It features a score by pop writer Ingrid Michaelson and a book by Bekah Brunsetter. The show had a pre-Broadway tryout in Chicago where it was met with unanimous rave reviews.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater has announced the cast and creative team for CORDUROY, directed by Amber Mak.

“Maybe I Don’t Know How” follows “Everybody Knows I’m High” and “Rocket In The Sky” as the third single from Spinning Out. The band, who worked on the track with Mike Del Rio, had the following to say about its creation and evolution: “We were in a circle, vibing out so hard, just saying random things and creating this story of this person who just did not know how to cut the rope with someone in their life. We chat with director Wayne R. Scott about Anne of Green Gables at LifeHouse Theater. He is a writer, composer, producer and director who has authored 30 original musicals and numerous other widely produced works.  He has also produced and directed nine musicals at the internationally known Redlands Bowl, including Annie, The Sound of Music, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, The Wizard of Oz, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, and most recently, Disney’s Mary Poppins for the Redlands Community Music Association.
