The Broadway at Birdland concert series was proud to present award-winning singer Natalie Douglas with another one of her very special "Tributes!" On Monday, April 9, she threw an onstage celebration of the music and magic of the one and only Elvis Presley. Songs included "Blue Suede Shoes," "Viva Las Vegas," and "If I Can Dream."
In her "Tributes" series, Natalie, along with Music Directors, Mark Hartman and Brian Nash, and a band of all-star musicians, Natalie celebrates the artistry, brilliance & singular achievements of four legendary influences: On April 9th, the much-adored trailblazer & icon, Elvis Presley; on May 14th, the sublime & beloved "First Lady of Song" Ella Fitzgerald; on June 18th, the glamour & drama of Dame Shirley Bassey; and on July 16th, the timeless Goddess of Pop, Cher.
Natalie Douglas is a two-time Bistro, Nightlife and ten-time MAC Award Winner and has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Rose Theatre and The Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Town Hall among others and has produced over 50 different concerts at her musical home, Birdland Jazz Club.
