BroadwayWorld.com has learned that Broadway favorite Kerry Butler has been cast as Lizzie in the Reprise! Broadway's Best Marvelous Musical Monday production of Baby. Butler will join the already announced Faith Prince who is set to play Arlene.

Kerry told BroadwayWorld.com how excited she was to be playing a role in one of her favorite musicals.

Presented as the second production of the Los Angeles series' 10th season, Baby -with book by Sybille Pearson, music by David Shire and lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. - will perform one night only, Monday, February 5 at 8:00pm at the Freud Playhouse at UCLA.  Broadway's Kevin Chamberlin (Chicago, Seussical) will direct.

Butler, who recently appeared as a regular on "One Life to Live," has been seen on Broadway in Hairspray, in which she originated the role of Penny Pingleton. Other Broadway credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Les Miserables, Beauty and the Beast and Blood Brothers. She is also known for her work in Off-Broadway's Bat Boy and in the San Francisco and Williamstown productions of The Opposite of Sex.

Baby, which received 7 Tony Award nominations, "tells the story of three couples at different stages of their lives as they deal with the painful, rewarding and agonizingly funny consequences of having a child. This smart, energetic show with loads of charm has an hysterically insightful book and a tuneful, contemporary score of show-stopping numbers by David Shire and Richard Maltby, Jr. (Starting Here, Starting Now, Closer Than Ever and big, The Musical)," press materials state.

Single ticket prices are $60.00. Reprise! offers a $20.00 Student/Senior rush 15 minutes before showtime (subject to availability). For tickets, please call the UCLA Central Ticket Office at 310/825-2101 or visit www.reprise.org.
