Factory Theatre presents Honey I’m Home, a darkly comedic and surreal production created by Lester Trips (Theatre), running from November 21 to December 1, 2024, at the Factory Studio Theatre in Toronto. The play explores a dystopian future where AI takes over jobs, leaving humans trapped in mundane, tech-dominated lives. The story follows Janine, a workaholic who uploads her consciousness to escape her boring reality, only to face a nightmare when slow Wi-Fi triggers an unsettling revelation. With physical theatre, innovative sound design, and sharp humor, Honey I’m Home delves into the absurdity of modern life and the impact of technology on human existence. Directed with consulting input by Adam Lazarus, the production combines eerie soundscapes, atmospheric lighting, and movement to craft a visually and emotionally charged experience. Tickets are available through Factory Theatre’s box office and website, priced at $25, with discounts for students, seniors, and groups.
