Long before he brought us Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda rocked Broadway with his first mega-hit- In the Heights. Now, fourteen years after it premiered off-Broadway, the beloved musical is changing the world from the big screen in a glorious adaptation with a screenplay co-written by Miranda himself.

Award-winning actor, director and producer America Ferrera will join authors Lin-Manuel Miranda, Quiara Alegría Hudes, and Jeremy McCarter in narrating the upcoming audiobook for IN THE HEIGHTS: Finding Home. The audiobook will be published by Penguin Random House Audio along with the Random House hardcover and ebook on June 15, 2021.

Costume designer Mitchell Travers is responsible for some of the most iconic on-screen looks of recent years in films such as Ocean's 8, Hustlers and more. His most recent project is none other than the film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda's Broadway phenomenon In the Heights, set to be released in theaters and on HBO Max on June 11th.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, the In The Heights Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will be released on June 11th, the same day the film arrives in U.S. theatres and is streaming on HBO Max.

Slated to open on June 11, 2021 in U.S. theaters and on HBO Max, the film will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.  It will be available on HBO Max for 31 days from theatrical release. “In the Heights” is rated PG-13 for some language and suggestive references.

Lights up on Washington Heights this summer! The highly anticipated film adaptation of In The Heights will open the famed Tribeca Film Festival on June 9, from where else, but the United Palace theater in Washington Heights.

Now, despite struggles and changes due to studio expectations as well as the COVID-19 pandemic, 'In The Heights' is finally scheduled to be released in theaters and on HBO Max on June 11th.
