Tampa's Gorilla Theatre presents The Woman in Black, an old-fashioned, scary ghost story. Following the tradition of the classic ghost story popularized by Charles Dickens and M.R James, Henry James and Edith Wharton, The Woman in Black relies on atmosphere, a vivid sense of place, hints, glimpses and suggestions, to chill the blood and send shivers down the spine. The show stars Christopher Rutherford and Glenn Gover.

American Stage Theatre Company has announced a reading series for new plays by local playwrights called HOT OFF THE PRESSES. Tickets are free to the public for all readings. All readings will be followed by a talkback with the playwright and an evaluation form to help guide the plays development. Performances are Dec. 7, 14 and Jan. 4.

On Saturday, Dec. 5, TBPAC's Board of Trustees will host the Wonderland Benefit in honor of the world premiere performance of Wonderland: Alice's New Musical Adventure, the first original production created as part of TBPAC's Broadway Genesis Project. This annual fall event (the Broadway Ball in previous years) is TBPAC's largest single fundraiser.

Jobsite Theater has announced that their Night of the Living Dead, which opened on October 21, has been extended through November 15. The production plays Thursday-Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Shimberg Playhouse at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.
