ANNA FEDEROVA Comes to Theater St. Gallen This Week

Alle Facetten ihres Klavierspiels zeigt Anna Fedorova, wenn sie in dieser Saison nicht nur als Solistin in Sergei Rachmaninows 3. Klavierkonzert, sondern auch als Rezitalistin in der Tonhalle St.Gallen auftritt. Das Programm ihre Solo-Abends eröffnet ruhig und zurückhaltend mit Valentin Silvestrovs Elegie Der Bote. Von ganz anderem Temperament ist Manuel de Fallas Ballettmusik zu El amor brujo (Der Liebeszauber), aus dem Federova eine hochkarätige Auswahl präsentiert.

Sie schliesst an die letzte grosse Ballade von Frédéric Chopin an, die mit einem glühend-virtuosen Schlussteil verklingt. Als stimmige Überleitung zum abschliessenden, verspielten Klavierzyklus Carnaval von Robert Schumann erklingen vier aus den insgesamt 66 Lyrischen Stücken von Edvard Grieg - wie Schumanns Charakterstücke Miniaturen, die einem klingenden Tagebuch gleich aus dem Leben des norwegischen Komponisten erzählen.

With the same team that developed Cinderella and The Banquet , Kinsun Chan is presenting a new creation on the UM!BAU stage. Jupiter and Venus focuses on two fascinating musical works that could not be more different.

In the 2021/2022 season, the Zurich playwright and director Alexander Stutz was resident author at the Theater St.Gallen as part of Stück Labor, the support program for new Swiss drama, and during this time he began work on The Alienated.

For Scham(los) the Italian choreographers Francesca Frassinelli and Mauro Astolfi are developing two creations for the dance company Theater St.Gallen for the first time and in them they deal with the topic of self-satisfaction and self-esteem.
