Stars and casts from the current Broadway line-up have been busy in the studio, recording for the 2013 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 15. Singing traditional and original holiday songs, this annual holiday music CD benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA), one of the nation's leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. Last night was Wicked's big night as the show celebrated its 10th Anniversary on Broadway with a special performance and party. On Wednesday, October 30th, the blockbuster musical, Wicked, will celebrate its 10th Anniversary on Broadway, a milestone achieved by only ten other Broadway productions in history. The creative team and many of the musical's previous cast members will celebrate Wicked's first decade with a special performance, followed by a company party, on October 30th at 7:00pm. BroadwayWorld will be counting down to the milestone with daily flashbacks of Wicked's biggest events, most memorable cast members, and best performances. On September 30th, 2013, Sing For Your Seniors hosted one of its Broadway Sessions with alumni from both Broadway and the National Touring companies of Wicked for the patients of Calvary Cancer Hospital. Check out photos from the event below!

Last night, June 18, Wicked's current cast members, including Lindsay Mendez (Elphaba) and Derek Klena (Fiyero) gathered at the Gershwin theatre to commemorate the show's the 4,000th performance. BroadwayWorld was there for the special celebration and you can check out full photo coverage below!

Lindsay Mendez and Derek Klena recently joined the cast of Wicked, assuming the roles of Elphaba and Fiyero. They join a cast which includes Katie Rose Clarke as Glinda, Randy Danson as Madame Morrible, Adam Grupper as The Wizard, Catherine Charlebois as Nessarose, F. Michael Haynie as Boq, and John Schiappa as Dr. Dillamond. Check out a first look at the duo in action below!

Dutch star musical theatre star Willemijn Verkaik joined the cast of Broadway's Wicked last night as 'Elphaba' at the Gershwin Theatre. BroadwayWorld was there for her first curtain call and you can check out full photo coverage below!

CAROLS FOR A CURE is the annual two-disc holiday CD compilation of original songs and holiday classics which benefits BC/EFA. These CDs boast the best voices from the worlds of Broadway, Off-Broadway and national tours. A full track list for this year's 14th edition has not yet been announced, but the cast of Broadway's Wicked was already hard a work yesterday recording their track for the album.
