Tony Award-winning Broadway veteran Ben Vereen recently stopped by HADESTOWN at the Walter Kerr and visited with Tony Award winner André De Shields, who missed him when Mr. Vereen attended opening night.  Following the performance, Mr. Vereen met other cast members backstage and posed for photos. 

Hadestown announced today on ABC's “Good Morning America” that the show will launch a National Tour beginning in the Fall of 2020. In its first year, the tour will visit more than 30 cities coast to coast, including (alphabetically) Denver; Houston; Los Angeles; Minneapolis; New Orleans; Philadelphia; Tempe; and Washington, DC; with more to be announced shortly.

On Tuesday morning, the stars of the hit Broadway musical perform a medley of 'Way Down Hadestown' and 'Wait For Me,' live on Good Morning America.

The Hadestown Original Broadway Cast Recording is already topping charts! The album debut at #1 last week on the cast albums chart.

Know Your Value founder Mika Brzezinski recently sat down with Hadestown director Rachel Chavkin to talk about her call for greater representation in the theater world. At the 2019 Tony Awards, Chavkin used her acceptance speech to talk about this issue, saying, 'I wish I wasn't the only woman directing a musical on Broadway this season. This is not a pipeline issue. It is a failure of imagination by a field whose job is to imagine the way the world could be.'

Actors' Equity Association has presented Hadestown with the thirteenth annual ACCA Award for Outstanding Broadway Chorus. Presented by Equity's Advisory Committee on Chorus Affairs (ACCA), the ACCA Award is the only industry accolade of its kind to honor the distinctive talents and contributions made by the original chorus members of a Broadway musical.
