The casts of Broadway's LION KING and ALADDIN found themselves with some extra time when their Orlando-bound flight from New York's LaGuardia Airport was delayed six hours.

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was held earlier today, May 27th in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets. Hosted by HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH's Darren Criss, Broadway's best turned out for the annual performance - including The Lion King's Gugwana Dlamini, who performed 'The Circle of Life'- check it out below!

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Broadway stars Nteliseng Nkhela and Aaron Nelson, currently playing Rafiki and Simba in THE LION KING, have lost their homes after an Edgewater Avalon apartment fire yesterday, Jan. 21.

Disney Theatrical Group is now licensing The Lion King Experience, a unique holistic arts education program that gives accredited elementary and middle schools the opportunity to produce condensed, age-appropriate JR. and KIDS adaptations of The Lion King, exclusively through Music Theatre International's (MTI) Broadway Junior Collection.

We all know the story of THE LION KING and how audiences all over the world have been intrigued by this impressive onstage production. There is so much to take in and so much to see, you can scarcely catch your breath before another amazing scene unfolds in front of you. The current tour of THE LION KING has hit the San Antonio area and has thrilled audiences in attendance.

THE LION KING and all of its theatrics has won many awards and words of praise throughout the years. As life on the road can be challenging and hard, actor Nick Cordileone enjoys every minute of it as he portrays Timon night after night all over North America with the LION KING.

Yesterday, Tim Allen, star of the ABC comedy LAST MAN STANDING, visited the landmark Broadway musical, THE LION KING, with his wife and daughter. The Allen family went backstage after the performance to meet and congratulate the cast.

Poetry. A show that inspires beyond one's capabilities of speech is described as poetic genius. Disney's Broadway hit musical The Lion King is nothing short of pure poetry. Frankly a loss for words is what this critic is suffering from. Julie Taymor's most renowned claim to fame is a show that has just recently become the highest grossing Broadway production of all time - and for good reason.

Wednesday, November 12, 2014--THE LION KING, the award-winning best musical, celebrated its 17th anniversary on Broadway Thursday, November 13, 2014 at the Minskoff Theatre (200 West 45th Street).
