After over a decade away, Mamma Mia! is back on Broadway where it belongs! The show begins previews later this week at the Winter Garden Theatre, and while we await the Dynamos' first return performance, it's the perfect time to recap the music that inspired the show and how it keeps the story going.  ​

BroadwayWorld and Immortal Icons of Dance invited alumni who’ve been part of A Chorus Line’s history to share personal reflections about how the show shaped their lives and careers. The Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA) is pleased to present its Season 46 finale and Pride concert, DANCING QUEENS! This musical tribute will feature over 20 iconic songs spanning every genre, performed by GMCLA’s 200-member Chorus on Saturday, June 21 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 22 at 3:30 p.m. at the historic Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.

Playwrights Foundation will present a public reading of Driving the Girls, a new play by Resident Playwright Cat Brooks on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts.

The new musical Goddess can currently be seen in its New York premiere production at the Public Theater on Lafayette Street. In “Sojourners,” the first play in the nine-part Ufot Family Cycle by first-generation Nigerian American playwright Mfoniso Udofia – presented last fall by the Huntington – Boston audiences met Abasiama, a hardworking Nigerian living in Houston, Texas, in 1978 and working toward a degree in biology.

Grease was first staged in 1971, with music, lyrics, and a book by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey. It had its debut on Broadway in 1972 until it was eventually adapted into a movie starring John Travolta & Olivia Newton-John in 1978. This play and its consequent movie were a cultural icon, with songs that persist through time and are deeply rooted in modern pop culture. And for the first time, in 2025, it was performed in Jakarta, Indonesia.
