Artists are actor and writer Katie Elin-Salt (Celebrated Virgins), writer Sophie Ellerby (LIT), actor and director Naeem Hayat (Nora: A Doll's House), and writer Tom Powell (The Silence and the Noise).

Rose Theatre, Chichester Festival Theatre and ETT have announced the UK premiere of George Brant’s Marie and Rosetta, the play with music telling the true story of American singer and songwriter Rosetta Tharpe and her protégé Marie Knight.

Yann Martel is noted for his ability to write tales filled with adventure, survival and spirituality.  His novel, LIFE OF PI, sold more than 15 million copies and won numerous awards. The novel has been translated into a film and now a stage play by Lolita Chakrabarti.  It is on stage at the Connor Palace Theatre, as part of the Key Bank Broadway Series.

After a successful run at the Criterion Theatre earlier this year, The Merchant of Venice 1936, an adaptation of Shakespeare’s work by Brigid Larmour and Tracy-Ann Oberman, with Oberman starring as a female version of the Jewish moneylender, Shylock. Larmour and Oberman have moved the setting to London in the 1930s, when fascism was on the rise with Oswald Mosley and his Blackshirts, culminating in the Battle of Cable Street on 4 October 1936.

Derek Charles Livingston has taken over this year as artistic director for STAGES HOUSTON. He was preceded by Kenn Mclaughlin, who stepped down after 25 seasons. Most recently, Derek was the director of new play development at the Utah Shakespeare Festival. Derek also previously served as the managing artistic director of the Celebration Theatre!

When A CHORUS LINE opened on Broadway in 1975, no one could have predicted that it would go on to earn the distinction of being the longest running Broadway show of its time. 16 POSTCODES, a play exposing landlord practices, announced its London debut. The production delves into housing issues and tenant experiences, offering a compelling narrative for theatergoers.

CHRISTMAS BY CANDLELIGHT, a magical evening of beloved festive songs performed by candlelight, is coming to the Adelphi Theatre for one night only on Tuesday 17 December 2024. Tickets on sale Friday 20 September.

We all love Dolly. She wrote all the songs for 9 to 5. On Broadway, the musical had a short life, as did attempts on London’s West End. UK tours and those in Australia met a quick demise. Plan B: license to regional theatres. The show’s producers added a vid with Dolly herself at opening curtain singing the title number. It’s a buoyant anthem about the struggles of working a 9 to 5 job female empowerment and control of one’s future.

Berk’s Nest and double Emmy award-nominated actor, comedian, and writer Nick Mohammed have announced that the iconic character of Mr. Swallow is preparing to spread Christmas cheer once again as a brand-new version of the ensemble comedy A Christmas Carol (ish) transfers to the West End this Winter.

Tony nominated Broadway star Keala Settle will lead the cast in the UK premiere of the new US musical Fly More Than You Fall at Southwark Playhouse Elephant from 18th October- 23rd November.

Lynne Page is no stranger to Broadway. This fall, she returns for the fifth time with Tammy Faye, the much-anticipated new musical about a traveling preacher’s wife who beamed into homes with a message of hope… and stole the country’s heart. Lynne took a break from rehearsals to check in with BroadwayWorld and chat about how she is using dance to tell Tammy's story.
