 The Golden Trailer Awards,  the most anticipated, fun and prestigious event honoring marketing executives and companies that create movie trailers, commercials and posters worldwide, today announced nominees in the 20th annual competition.  Evelyn Watters, Golden Trailer Awards Executive Director, proudly announced the 2019 nominees along with the show's executive producer Monica Brady.  #GTA20, will take place on Wednesday, May 29th at The Theatre at the Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.

The Grammy Museum will be hosting NOTES ON LIVING: ALL-STAR JAZZ WITH TALES BY BRIAN DOYLE May 14, 2019 as a joint benefit for WordTheatre in the Schools (WITS) and the Grammy Museum. WordTheatre's artistic director Cedering Fox will be producing and directing this evening of selected stories by award-winning author Brian Doyle, read by a star-studded cast, and accompanied by an all-star jazz band led by Starr Parodi. Celebrating one year since the re-launch as Kiln Theatre, Artistic Director Indhu Rubasingham today announces the full cast for Samuel Adamson's Wife. Rubasingham directs Richard Cant (Peter/Ivar at 58/Landlord), Karen Fishwick (Daisy/Clare), Pamela Hardman (Character Actress /Marjorie/Embassy Assistant), Joshua James (Robert/Finn/Ivar at 28), Calam Lynch (Eric/Cas) and Sirine Saba (Suzannah). The production opens on 4 June, with previews from 30 May, and runs until 6 July, coinciding with London's Pride parade.

Northern Stage announces its 2019-20 Season, a season of plays that thematically reflect on the past to move into a more positive future. The company's 23rd Season will feature two world premieres by women writers, non-traditional casting in classic plays, and an overall season more diverse and reflective of the world. A chilly, grey April afternoon: not the most auspicious weather for an occasion such as the Olivier Awards. Before the nominees and guests arrived it looked set to be another rain-soaked affair, as fans and members of the press were subjected to a bit of a drenching, but with the arrival of the stars came a dry spell - and a chance for us to chat with a selection of excited (and nervous) artists on their way into the Royal Albert Hall.

Royal & Derngate announces another world premiere production, a musical staging of Pippi Longstocking, for the venue's Made in Northampton 2019 Christmas show. Meanwhile, the venue's 2018 Christmas production of The Worst Witch continues to tour the UK. Pippi Longstocking is adapted for the stage for the first time by Mike Akers from Astrid Lindgren's much-loved books, with original music by Stu Barker. It will be directed by The Wardrobe Ensemble's Jesse Jones and Helena Middleton who co-directed Education, Education, Education for Royal & Derngate in 2017.

Central School of Ballet announces new MA Choreography programme participants: Anjali Mehra-Hughes from New Adventures and Sandrine Monin from Phoenix Dance Theatre. The students joined Central this spring on the MA programme that takes 18 months on average to complete, providing the opportunity for professional choreographers to hone their skills, engage in research and develop their practice at the highest level.

Stanley Donen, director of movie musicals such as Singin' In The Rain and On The Town, has died, according to Variety. Donen was 94.

Here she comes, world! The first national tour of the Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival of Hello, Dolly!, starring Tony Award winner Betty Buckley, launched earlier this year from the Stanley Theatre in Utica, New York. The show just opened in San Francisco!
