ELF, the musical has become a traditional holiday favorite in the Bayou City and we are excited to see this whimsical story made popular by the movie starring Will Ferrell. ELF the musical has music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin, book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin and is based on the New Line Cinema Film written by David Berenbaum. This production is directed and choreographed by Dan Knechtges

The producers of the award-winning Bat Out Of Hell a?" The Musical, featuring Jim Steinman and Meatloaf's greatest hits, are delighted to announce that the production will come to Scotland for the first time next year as part of its debut UK tour.

Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical, featuring Jim Steinman and Meatloaf's greatest hits will be returning to tour the UK, following an Australian tour, with performances beginning at Manchester Opera House from 10 - 26 September 2020. The other tour dates include The Alexandra Birmingham from 29 September - 10 October, New Wimbledon Theatre from 13 - 24 October, New Theatre Oxford from 27 October - 7 November, Glasgow King's Theatre from 10 - 21 November and Liverpool Empire from 8 December - 2 January 2021. Further tour dates and casting to be announced.

Raven Theatre presents the world premiere of the heartwarming, family-friendly comedy COLD TOWN/HOTLINE: A Chicago Holiday Story, written and directed by Eli Newell, playing November 30 – December 22, 2019 on Raven's 85-seat East Stage, 6157 N. American Symphony Orchestra comes to Alice Tully Hall for the holiday season with a concert titled Sons of Bach on Thursday, December 19 at 8 PM. The program will offer rarely-performed works by four of J.S. Bach's sons, showcasing the compositional mastery the young men learned from their father, and also revealing how each was able to develop his own unique style.

The Chicago-based Gaylord and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation (the Foundation)-an organization that offers unrestricted grants to Chicago theatre companies with budgets under $1 million-recently surveyed its small theatre grantees to reveal the large impact they make in Chicago. A total of 41 of Chicago's approximately 250 theatres participated in the Foundation's survey, representing a significant percentage of the city's storefront theatres.

The Half-Life of Marie Curie just celebrated opening night at the Minetta Lane Theatre (18 Minetta Lane, between MacDougal & 6th Avenue - one block south of W. 3rd Street), Audible's creative home for live performances in New York.

On Saturday evening, November 16, 2019, Los Angeles Opera presented Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Emanuel Schickaneder's 1791 singspiel, The Magic Flute. The unusual production, which involved the appearance of screens reminiscent of 1920s silent films, was originally devised by Barry Kosky, Suzanne Andrade, and Paul Barritt for Berlin's Komische Oper. 

On November 13, New York City Center kicked off its Gala Presentation of Evita, running through November 24. Directed by Sammi Cannold, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock-opera musical follows the controversial ascent of Argentina's renowned first lady.

The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS, IATSE Local 706) has announced nominations for the 7th Annual MUAHS Guild Awards honoring outstanding achievements in make-up and hair styling in motion pictures, television, commercials and live theater. Winners will be honored at the black-tie gala on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at The Novo by Microsoft at L.A. Live. Today's announcement was made by MUAHS President Julie Socash.

Lady Shakes Theatre Company is back with the second show in their exciting inaugural season!
