Healdsburg's Raven Players, located in the heart of the Northern California wine country, have announced they are accepting submissions for their inaugural Short Play Festival to run February 28 - March 1, 2020 at the Raven Performing Arts Theater in Healdsburg. The competitive festival is themed 'Love Bites' and will feature plays of 10 to 20 minutes in duration. Playwrights from around the world are invited to submit original works that generally focus on the joy, heartbreak, humor and/or tragedy of any type of love.

Ghosts and ghouls, witching hour approaches. Teddy Sourias and Craft Concepts Group - the creators of Philadelphia's Christmas Pop-up Bar - announces the opening of Nightmare Before Tinsel. Philadelphia's Halloween Pop-up Bar will take over the 100+ former jewelry store space at 116 S. 12th Street in Midtown Village. Among the ghosts that still haunt the space - including the ghosts of Tinsel's past - look for eerie ambiance, scary photo opps, witches bru cocktails, seasonal fall beers, costumed bartenders, and tons of frights and flights. Inside the new Halloween pop-up bar, look for a room of 1,001 eyes, fights inspired by Poe's Nevermore, a haunted coffin, zombie wall, custom retro ghost bar, giant spider web alley and more - plus of course lots of ghosts, ghouls, goblins, witches and spectres. Nightmare plans to creak open the doors in early October, with final details to be revealed soon. Stay tuned as Concept Group prepares to unleash your worst and best nightmare - in a fun and frightful new bar experience.

Emmy ® Award-winners RuPaul and World of Wonder (“RuPaul's Drag Race,” “Million Dollar Listing,” “Out Of Iraq,” upcoming HBO documentary “Liberty: Mother of Exiles”) hosted the third annual RuPaul's DragCon NYC at the Javits Convention Center this weekend. The drag and pop culture extravaganza welcomed 100,000 attendees between the LA and NYC events in 2019, with over 150 of the world's top drag queens mixing and mingling with fans of all ages and backgrounds. World of Wonder made major announcements out of the convention, including the news of the “RuPaul's Drag Race Live!” Las Vegas residency coming in January 2020, and the international expansion of the massively successful convention with 2020's RuPaul's DragCon UK. Theatre of NOTE continues its 2019 season with the world premiere of DRIVING WILDE by Jacqueline Wright, directed by Bart DeLorenzo.
