PBS will be offering a new lineup of premiere content to celebrate Latino Heritage Month this September and October. New performances from The Met, Rita Moreno documentary, and The 34th Hispanic Heritage Awards will highlight the schedule.

Thom Schilling, the general manager, production supervisor and stage manager for dozens of Broadway, Off-Broadway and global tours for over 40 years, died in his sleep on August 19 in New York City. The cause of death is not presently known. Born in 1956, Thom was 64 years old.

Broadway superstar and Tony Award-nominee Adam Pascal (Rent, AIDA, Something Rotten) will once again step into the well-heeled shoes of Edward Lewis after thrilling audiences on Broadway for a limited set of performances in 2019. He will be joined by rising star Olivia Valli (Jersey Boys, Wicked) as the charming and charismatic Vivian Ward.

Christina Alexander has been named the new Director of Social Responsibility (DOSR) for the Broadway, National Tour and London productions of WICKED.

When Jonathan Tipton Meyers lost his girlfriend, his business and his identity, he got in his car and drove. With the audience in the backseat, this bravura monologue chronicles Jonathan's two-year journey through the gig economy with Uber and Lyft.

The project is a collaboration between Radar Pictures and writers Kit Williamson (Emmy-nominated creator of Netflix's LGBTQ comedy series 'EastSiders') and New York Times best-selling author Brittany Cavallaro (the 'Charlotte Holmes' series).

'Rules and Roles of Comedy' will be acted by Paul Albe, FitzyFitz, Sharon Fogarty, Ray Grist, Jesse N. Holmes, Donna Kennedy and Claudia Menza. Most of them are veterans of James' prior works.  Costumes are by Ramona Ponce.

WICKED will be the first Broadway tour to resume performances in the U.S. following the pandemic shutdown.  The musical will relaunch at the Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas from August 3 – September 5, 2021, kicking off the 2021-2022 Germania Insurance Broadway Series presented by Dallas Summer Musicals.

On July 22nd, The Ink Project and Poetic People Power will present Embrace 2021: Reclaim What You Love, Restore How You Feel. This spoken word event will showcase the work of writers as they explore this theme in their own narrative.

Antaeus Theatre Company launches their second season of their popular podcasts THE ZIP CODE PLAYS: LOS ANGELES May 20, 2021. Each play, set in six different L.A. zip codes, features acclaimed Antaeus actors enacting scripts written by members of the Antaeus Playwright Lab. Two-time Audiofile Award-winner Ramón de Ocampo reprises his role of series host, with Jeff Gardner and Ellen Mandel returning in their respective roles as audio producer/sound designer/foley artist and music composer.

Boobs! The Musical: The World According To Ruth Wallis is a musical revue based on the music and lyrics of 50's/60's star Ruth Wallis. Using 23 of her songs, Boobs! tells the story of Wallis' international career and struggles with performing her naughty songs.

The virtual production of The Last Five Years has been extended. The production, which has been nominated for a Drama League Award for Outstanding Digital Theatre, Individual Production, originally ran March 15-28, and recently returned for an encore engagement from April 13-25. The production will now be available through May 9

This year's Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) presents Tony nominee Jenifer Lewis with its 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award at the 35th Annual MAC Awards. Additionally, James Wesley and Seth Rudetsky will be honored for their creation of Stars in the House.
