The Theater Center selected 12 new musicals for its Making It Happen Festival, with three advancing to a final round to compete for a $5000 grand prize at the Jerry Orbach Theater.

The Entertainment Community Fund has revealed the five recipients of the 2026 Alex Dubé Scholarship Program. These one-time awards of up to $10,000 per recipient are distributed annually to dancers enrolled in accredited graduate degree programs.

He was close friends with Marilyn Monroe and gifted her a dog; she named it “Maf”, short for Mafia Honey, just to wind him up. At the age of 48, he dated a teenage Mia Farrow and the two eventually married in 1966.
