At This Performancea?? returns to The Green Room 42 featuring standbys, understudies and alternates from Moulin Rouge; Sing Street; Hamilton; The Book Of Mormon; Aladdin ; Tootsie and The Lion King on Monday, February 3rd at 7pm.

The Sykes Kids Scholarship founded by Broadway Actors and PPCA (Pinellas County Center for the Arts) Alumni Ephraim and Martina Sykes. The scholarship will award two promising seniors from PCCA with plans of moving to New York to further their education in the arts or began the broadway dream. Each student will receive $1,000.00. The scholarship will be presented at the dance department's senior projects January 29,2020.

Red Bull Theater (Jesse Berger, Artistic Director | Jim Bredeson, Managing Director) today announced the New York premiere of All the Devils Are Here - How Shakespeare Invented the Villain, a dazzling exploration of Shakespeare's two decade-long investigation of evil with Tony Award nominee Patrick Page. This one night only special event will take place on Monday February 24th at 7:30 PM at the Cherry Lane Theater (38 Commerce Street, three blocks south of Christopher Street, just west of Seventh Avenue).

The season includes the return of the Broadway blockbuster, Disney's THE LION KING (July 15a?'August 9, 2020); the pre-Broadway engagement of 1776 (September 29a?'October 4, 2020), directed by Tony Awarda?'winner Diane Paulus; the Tony and Grammy Award­a?'winning pop culture phenomenon, DEAR EVAN HANSEN (November 10a?'29, 2020); the romantic and adventurea?'filled musical, ANASTASIA (January 26a?'31, 2021); the Bay Area premiere of the hit musical comedy, TOOTSIE (March 23a?'28, 2021); and the delectable Roald Dahl's CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (May 4a?'9, 2021).

Producer Mark Cortale's 2019-20 Broadway @ NOCCA series is set to take a superstar leap into the New Year with Liz Callaway, Tony nominee for Baby and star of Cats and Miss Saigon on Broadway as well as the singing voice of Princess Jasmine in Disney's animated Aladdin series of films, on Saturday, January 11 at 8:00 PM. She makes her NOLA series debut joined by music director and host Seth Rudetsky and special guest, New Orlean's own Bryan Batt.

Tony Award-winner Beth Leavel will play the iconic Miranda Priestly in the new musical, The Devil Wears Prada and the role of the wide-eyed assistant, Andy Sachs, will be played by Taylor Iman Jones (Groundhog Day, Head Over Heels). The Pre-Broadway World Premiere of the new musical will open at Broadway In Chicago's CIBC Theatre from July 13-August 15, 2021 for a limited run prior to a Broadway engagement. The production had previously been announced to play in Chicago next year at a different venue.

Elf is a musical based on the 2003 motion picture of the same name.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts has announced casting of 46 young dancers in American Ballet Theatre's production of The Nutcracker performed December 13 through 22 in Segerstrom Hall. Forty-two students from the American Ballet Theatre William J. Gillespie School at Segerstrom Center, plus four additional talented young dancers from Orange County, will perform alongside the world renowned ABT company, in this classic holiday show. The opportunity to perform in this production and others in the Center's International Dance Series is one of the very special benefits of studying in the ABT Gillespie School.

Segerstrom Center announces the return of its popular holiday tradition – American Ballet Theatre's captivating production of The Nutcracker. Co-presented by the Center and ABT with choreography by ABT Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky, The Nutcracker was praised by The New York Times as “A production like no other, made with complete theatrical authority from first to last.” The ballet will be given 12 performances December 13 through 22 in Segerstrom Hall. ABT Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie has released principal casting, which will include Hee Seo as Clara, the Princess and Cory Stearns as The Nutcracker Prince on opening night December 13. Pacific Symphony will perform for all performances.

THE SPITFIRE GRILL begins its previews July 10, 2019 at the Garry Marshall Theatre under the direction of its artistic director Dimitri Toscas. This musical (by James Valcq and Fred Alley) takes place in the rural town of Gilead, Wisconsin during a simpler era. I had the opportunity to interview a stunning vocalist I have seen on various Los Angeles stages, Ashley Argota, who will be imbuing her powerful vocals to the role of Shelby Thorpe, a pivotal part of the Gilead community.

The French Institute Alliance Fran aise (FIAF), New York's premier French cultural and language center, today announced the 2019 Crossing the Line Festival, featuring 11 performances and a gallery exhibition from a geographically, generationally, and artistically diverse group of artists whose work transcends genres and boundaries. All performances are world, US, or New York premieres; they are united by their convention-breaking fearlessness as they confront topics from social injustice to personal demons. Many of the performances pay homage to legendary artists of our time and previous eras, while the theme of migration and its transformational effects on identity informs several others. The 72nd Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 10th at 8/9c hosted by Josh Groban and Sara Bareilles.
