TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 2015/2016 season with the Regional Premiere of the dazzling romance, CYRANO, a new sprightly adaptation by Michael Hollinger (Opus) and Aaron Posner (My Name is Asher Lev, The Chosen) of Edmond Rostand's classic Cyrano de Bergerac.

Lorraine Hansberry's groundbreaking play, the first on Broadway written by a Black woman, will visit the Belgrade Theatre from Tues 22 - Sat 26 March in a new production directed by Eclipse Theatre's Dawn Walton. This intense family drama, written on the cusp of the civil rights era, sees the Younger family await the arrival of a cheque for a life changing $10,000. Driven to conflict as they encounter issues of inequality, housing and lack of opportunity that continue to resonate today, the play acts as a stark warning to anyone who measures happiness and personal worth in capital gain.

The Lyric Hammersmith and Filter Theatre Production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, co-directed by Sean Holmes and Stef O'Driscoll, runs now through 19 March, with press night set for tonight 25 February 2016. 

Disney Theatrical Productions today announced Nick Afoa will transfer to the London production of THE LION KING as Simba when the Australian season of the landmark musical concludes on Sunday 28 February.

The Lyric Hammersmith and Filter Theatre Production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, co-directed by Sean Holmes and Stef O'Driscoll, begins tonight 19 February through 19 March. Press night is slated for 25 February 2016.

Artistic Director of Mercury Theatre Colchester Daniel Buckroyd today announces the full company for the UK regional premiere production of Bruce Norris' acclaimed play Clybourne Park which opens at the company's home base ahead of a national tour - Ben Deery (Karl / Steve), Dan Gaisford(Kenneth), Rebecca Manley (Bev / Kathy), Rebecca Oldfield (Betsey / Lindsey), Gloria Onitiri (Francine / Lena), Wole Sawyerr (Albert / Kevin), William Troughton (Jim / Tom) and Mark Womack (Dan / Russ). The production opens on 15 April as part of the Made in Colchester Season, with previews from 8 April and runs until 23 April. It is the first time the production will be seen in the UK outside of London.

Full casting has been announced for the Lyric Hammersmith and Filter Theatre Production of A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, co-directed by Sean Holmes and Stef O'Driscoll. Jonathan Broadbent, Ed Gaughan, John Lightbody, Victoria Moseley and Ferdy Roberts return to the cast and they will be joined by Hammed Animashaun, Andrew Buckley, Clare Dunne and Cat Simmons.

Broadway quadruple threat and Bistro Award winner, Robert Creighton, who recently starred as the title character in the critically lauded CAGNEY at the York Theatre Company, brings an all new show, 'Lucky In Love,' to Metropolitan Room on Monday, February 8 at 7pm. Creighton will sing a love and romance-themed repertoire in honor of the season, and you can expect to experience a spectrum from laughter to tears. Clinton Hill cultural hub and OBIE award-winner JACK launches its winter/spring 2016 season with an a cappella opera set in Zimbabwe by composer Tanyaradzwa Tawengwa, a weekend of curated works by Modesto "Flako" Jimenez, the premiere of the dirty and bracing play Tom & Eliza, by Celine Song, the English-language premiere of Argentinian playwright Rafael Spregelburd's SPAM, The Geneva Project by Jennifer Harrison Newman, Antonio Ramos' Thirsty Mind, love and starvation sitting in a lonely tree and an exploration in minimalist/pop art performance by the No Face Performance Group.  JACK also engineers the return of Walter Dundervill's ARENA (which had two sold-out runs at JACK in 2014 and 2015). 

Based on the smash hit 2003 film of the same title, SCHOOL OF ROCK: THE MUSICAL, with music from the movie, as well as an original score by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyricist Glenn Slater, a book by Julian Fellowes and direction by Laurence Connor, makes its World Premiere on Broadway tonight, December 6, at the Winter Garden Theatre.
