On Monday, March 4 at 6:30pm the medieval court of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table will come to life on the stage of the Vivian Beaumont Theater when Lin-Manuel Miranda stars as King Arthur in Lerner & Loewe's CAMELOT, directed by Bartlett Sher, for a one-night-only concert event to benefit Lincoln Center Theater.  He will be joined by Solea Pfeiffer as Guenevere, Jordan Donica as Sir Lancelot, Dakin Matthews as Merlyn, Ruthie Ann Miles as Nimue, Ethan Slater as Mordred, Julie White as Morgan Le Fey, and Jenn Colella, Jason Danieley, and Bonnie Milligan as three of the Knights of the Round Table.   Andy & Betsy Kenny Lack, Brooke & Daniel Neidich, and Caryn Zucker are the Benefit Co-Chairs.  Proceeds from the evening will support Lincoln Center Theater's productions and education programs. After a successful workshop in 2017, Royal Family Productions (Chris Henry, Artistic Director), a Times Square based non-profit theatre company known for its innovative productions and development of new original work, is proud to announce the World Premiere of Anne of Green Gables: Part Istarring Broadway's Ali Ewoldt (Phantom of the Opera, Les Mis) as Anne. Based onLucy Maud Montgomery'sbeloved novel, this production is adapted and directed by Chris Henry with choreography by Lorna Ventura and will begin performances on January 24th - February 11, 2019 with an opening night set for Monday, January 28 at 6:30pm. The cast put on an electrifying performance, which won't be forgotten anytime soon by those who saw it. There was so much in this production which stood out. From the actors and actresses on the stage to the choreography. Wonderful, vibrant and magnificent are three words which could be used to describe this production. (more...)

The Florida Panhandle was completely devastated by the catastrophic effects of Hurricane Michael. Michael was one of the strongest storms ever to make landfall in the United States. The Panhandle, which is area code 850, took a direct hit. Thousands of people lost their homes, schools and hospitals were destroyed, and area businesses were obliterated. (more...)

Complementing performances of Tony Award-winning actress and director Victoria Clark's production of Conor McPherson's new version of Strindberg's The Dance of Death, Classic Stage Company (CSC; Artistic Director, John Doyle) presents the second installment of its new Classic Conversations series. The series began with acclaimed actor Raul Esparza on the occasion of his "blisteringly good" (New York magazine) turn in Bertolt Brecht's Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui; another conversation will be announced this spring. The March 5 at 7pm event will serve as a rare, intimate, and engaging distillation of Clark's life in theater through conversation-with CSC Artistic Director John Doyle and celebrated music director Ted Sperling-and song. Sperling, who memorably worked with Clark on The Light in the Piazza, for which they both received Tony Awards, will also accompany Clark on piano for the musical portion of the evening.
