The Pear Theatre tradition of non-traditional holiday fare continues with the world premiere of "Girls Kill Nazis" by James Kopp, a fun and topical romp designed to perfectly balance your Thanksgiving dinner. "Girls Kill Nazis," directed by John Morrison, previews on November 8, with press and Opening Night on Friday, November 9 (followed by a champagne gala). The show runs Thursdays through Sundays through December 2 (no performances Thursday or Friday of Thanksgiving week). All performances are held at the Pear Theatre, 1110 La Avenida St., Mountain View. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.thepear.org or calling (650) 254-1148.

This December, City Winery New York and City Winery Nashville will be opening their doors to collect unused and unwanted musical instruments and equipment in good and working condition to donate to two fantastic causes working toward a better future for youth growing up in challenging circumstances and conflict zones. The amnesty is being organized in partnership with award-winning charity, In Place of War and Ronnie Scott's Charitable Foundation. All instruments, equipment and monetary donations will benefit Cultura y Libertad located in Medellín, Colombia and The Haven, located in South Bronx NYC (more information below).

Van Alen Institute announced today that Deborah Marton has been appointed its next Executive Director. U.K. Grindcore pioneers, Napalm Death announce their Spring North American headline tour today. Orlando, Florida, Hard Rock band Breathing Theory have released their full length album titled BALANCE today on all digital outlets. The record was produced by Collin Morrison and David Marfitt of Innerforce Productions, whereas two of the songs, 'Animals' and 'Who We Are' were co-produced and mixed by Grammy Award Winner, Malcolm Springer. Canadian tech-death force BENEATH THE MASSACRE announce a handful of North American tour dates today.
