Wonder and amazement abound! Drury Lane Theatre announces casting for its Regional Premiere of Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical, featuring Chicago resident Audrey Edwards and Warrenville native Natalie Galla sharing the title role. With book by Dennis Kelly, music and lyrics by Tim Minchin, and orchestrations and additional music by Chris Nightingale, Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical is directed and choreographed by Mitch Sebastian and runs April 26 June 23, 2019, at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace.

The Tallest Man on Earth's new album I Love You. It's A Fever Dream. is out now. The record is Kristian Matsson's first in four years and was written and produced entirely by Matsson himself. NPR Music's “First Listen” describes him as 'the preeminent Swedish one-man folkie reviving the genre.'

FRANKENSTEIN Will Embark on a New UK Tour

A new theatrical adaptation of Mary Shelley's seminal 1818 gothic horror novel Frankenstein is set to depict Shelley onstage, as she unfolds her monstrous tale of creature and creator. Adapted by award-winning writer Rona Munro and co-produced by leading company Selladoor (in the company's tenth anniversary year), Matthew Townshend Productions, Belgrade Theatre Coventry, and Perth Theatre at Horsecross Arts, the production will tour nationwide from 2 September - 30 November 2019. Further dates and casting are yet to be announced.

The Hub Theatre, specializing in new plays that highlight our common humanity, is excited to present the regional premiere of The Burn by playwright Philip Dawkins, directed by The Hub's Artistic Director, Matt Bassett. The Burn, the first full production in The Hub's 11th season, will run from April 26 - May 11, 2019 on the stage of NextStop Theatre in Herndon.   The Hub is pleased to welcome back playwright Philip Dawkins, whose previous scripts under Bassett's direction - Failure: A Love Story and The Happiest Place on Earth - were audience favorites that brought The Hub six Helen Hayes Award nominations. The Hub's production of Happiest was recently remounted at Hub Founding Artistic Director Helen R. Murray's new artistic home, the Aurora Fox in Colorado.
