Cal State Fullerton's Spring semester begins with "The Cherry Orchard" by Anton Chekhov, translated by Paul Schmidt and directed by Maria Cominis. The play runs from March 8-24, 2019 in the Young Theatre on campus. "The Cherry Orchard" follows a destitute Russian aristocrat who returns home to find her family in a financial crisis, forcing them to sell their home to pay off their debt. The family must decide on their prospects for happiness and how to rebuild their lives and fortunes.

This February, the unPOPable GAZILLION BUBBLE SHOW, will begin its incrediBUBBLE 13th year in New York City today, February 15. New York's MUST SEE bubble extravaganza, GAZILLION BUBBLE SHOW has had 4,659 performances in the Big Apple and has been seen by over 779,000 people at New World Stages (340 West 50 Street).

When it comes to RENT being on broadcast television, it was always going to be a dicey experience. Diehard fans were sure to be disappointed by lines altered to be in compliance with the FCC. Then, casting a handful of pop performers over trained actors was sure to lead to questionable character choices throughout the evening. Sunday's performance of RENT on FOX, the live musical that ended up being not-so-live, has drawn ratings at the lowest ratings of TV musicals that have aired in recent years, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

RENT on FOX, the live musical event, began its broadcast with the words 'previously recorded' on the screen. Brennin Hunt, who plays Roger Davis in the show, broke his foot during dress rehearsal, which led to the decision that instead of airing live, FOX would broadcast the taped dress rehearsal performance. Unfortunately, this resulted in a show that was not at 100%, however, despite all of the trouble, there were many moments that shined through.
