Thomas G. Waites' rocking adaptation of one of Shakespeare's rarely-performed comedies will play its final three performances this weekend. The hippie lovefest of this re-worked Love's Labour's Lost continues at the Gene Frankel Theatre (24 Bond Street, between Lafayette and Bowery) from October 24-26 at 8pm. The production, featuring a cast full of bright young talent, is made possible with the generous support of The Jeff Hunter Charitable Trust. FOX Entertainment has ordered a second season of the new animated series BLESS THE HARTS, to air during the 2020-2021 season. With animation serving as a cornerstone of FOX programming, the network expanded its Sunday night brand this fall with the introduction of a new original voice and concept in BLESS THE HARTS. Created and executive-produced by Emmy Award winner Emily Spivey (“The Last Man on Earth,” “Parks and Recreation,” “Saturday Night Live”) and featuring a voice cast of comedy all-stars, including Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell, Ike Barinholtz and Kumail Nanjiani, the half-hour animated comedy follows the Harts, a Southern family that is always broke, and forever struggling to make ends meet. They one day hope to achieve the American dream, but they're already rich – in friends, family and laughter.

With The 19th Annual Festival of New Musicals taking place this upcoming weekend, Village Theatre is excited to announce the casting for XY, an uplifting musical about identity and coming to terms with your past; Cold Turkey, a wild and funny satire; Modern, an inspiring tale about a group of Amish teenagers; Eastbound, an poignant story about Chinese brothers in search of a home they've never known; and Cowboy Bob, an adventurous rock musical about a bank-robbing woman. The Festival will take place in Issaquah August 9-11, 2019 and provides an essential platform for writers to develop new works. The Paley Center for Media announced today that it will host its 13th annual PaleyFest Fall TV Previews September 5-15, 2019, at the Paley Center's Beverly Hills location. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is extending invitations to join the organization to 842 artists and executives who have distinguished themselves by their contributions to theatrical motion pictures. The 2019 class is 50% women, 29% people of color, and represents 59 countries. Those who accept the invitations will be the only additions to the Academy's membership in 2019.

A&E Network dives back into the unexplained paranormal universe, greenlighting five compelling shows including the revival of 'Ghost Hunters,' one of the most successful paranormal series of all time.
