Syracuse Stage has announced casting for the world premiere of How to Dance in Ohio, a new musical inspired by Alexandra Shiva’s Peabody Award-winning documentary of the same name. Welcome To The Sixties, Melbourne! The nicest kids in town will be here from August 2022 when the original Tony Award winning Broadway production of Hairspray opens at the Regent Theatre. Acclaimed Director Jack O'Brien (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), and Choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots), lead a Broadway creative team to present Hairspray in Australia as originally intended.

According to TMZ and Variety, comedian and actor Bob Saget has died at 65. He was found in a hotel room in Orlando, where he appeared on Saturday night as part of a comedy tour and no cause of death has been released.

Under the direction of Joe Barros (Artistic Director) and Jen Sandler (Associate Artistic Director), New York Theatre Barn is an anti-racist  non-profit theatre company that has served as a home for original culture shifting musicals during incubation since 2007.
