Producers Sonia Friedman and Tom Kirdahy have announced that the brand new Kander & Ebb musical, NEW YORK, NEW YORK, will begin performances on Broadway Friday, March 24, 2023 and officially open Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Broadway’s St. James Theatre.

Based on the real-life escape stories of the men and women who burrowed under the Berlin Wall in 1968, Tunnels portrays the daring escape of cousins Paul and Freddie Metz during the height of the Cold War. 

TDF will host the first-ever autism-friendly performance of New York City Ballet's production of The Nutcracker. Tailored for families with members on the autism spectrum or with other developmental or cognitive disabilities, this special matinee will be presented on Sunday, November 27 at 1 p.m. at Lincoln Center's David  H. Boston Baroque Founding Music Director Martin Pearlman was awarded the Samuel Simons Sanford Medal by the Yale School of Music on September 8, 2022. In his remarks upon receiving the award, Mr. Pearlman noted, “I'm grateful to receive this honor from the Yale School of Music, which was so important in my evolution as an artist.”

TDF reopened its TKTS Lincoln Center discount booth on Tuesday, September 6 at 11 a.m. Located indoors in Lincoln Center’s David Rubenstein Atrium. TKTS Lincoln Center originally opened on August 2, 2016 but has been closed since March 13, 2020 due to the pandemic.
