The Cover of Life, by R.T. Robinson, is based on his family’s true story about three women and their struggle for self-worth in rural Louisiana in 1943. Tood, Weetsie and Sybill each married a Cliffert brother who are engaged in World War II. A local reporter with the Louisiana Times Picayune writes story about these young wives, which piques the interest of Life Magazine’s Henry Luce. Luce assigns Kate Miller to the story, who has been covering the war in Europe. Kate spends a week with the Cliffert women to cover their life while the men are away, and unexpectedly explores the reality of the women as they struggle to find their own identity.  The piece is so well written, with complex characters working through intricate relationships, delicious subtext, prose filled with images and powerful emotions, strong rhythm, and subtle humor.

On the heels of their successful 2025 40th Anniversary sold-out North American tour that wrapped at Radio City Music Hall in March, GRAMMY®-winning, progressive music titans Dream Theater have announced another run of dates in the United States.

This is more than a musical; it is a spectacle.

Asolo Repertory Theatre has announced complete casting for the epic closing of the 2024 – 2025 Season, Jesus Christ Superstar, which begins previews on May 14, 2025. Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Lyrics by Tim Rice and directed and choreographed by Josh Rhodes. Jesus Christ Superstar runs May 14 – June 15. 

Craft Recordings will reissue six records from Original Jazz Classics, including newly remastered editions of Bill Evans’ Interplay and Moon Beams, Lee Morgan’s Here’s Lee Morgan, and more.

After big success in Rio, Tom Jobim Musical arrives in São Paulo, to celebrate the life and legacy of one of the greatest names in Brazilian music, presenting iconic songs. The super production by Bonus Track and Bárbaro! Productions, stars Elton Towersey (Tom) and Otávio Müller (Vinicius), with book by Nelson Motta and Pedro Brício, musical direction by Thiago Gimenes and direction by João Fonseca.

For two weekends in a row in January 2025, Segerstrom Center for the Arts presented some powerhouse talents from the world of Broadway to their enjoyable Cabaret Series. First up was the returning Jason Robert Brown, the Tony Award-winning composer of musicals such as PARADE and THE LAST FIVE YEARS joined by a new special guest, Tony Award-winner Anika Noni Rose. The following weekend, the Samueli Theatre then opened its doors to Tony nominee Kerry Butler’s hilarious one-woman comedy cabaret 'Breaking Broadway.'

Grammy award-winning and multi-platinum selling rock band SOUL ASYLUM have announced a slew of UK & European shows for January and February 2025. The run will include shows in Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow, and London.

Anne and Mark Burnell, national jazz radio favorites, will perform at the Epiphany Center for the Arts in Chicago on November 10. The concert celebrates their new CD, featuring jazz renditions and originals.
