Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Announces Winter Season

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center has announced its Winter 2021 Digital Season, with 26 new digital offerings, available for free, from January 14 to March 26, 2021.  CMS introduces a new online schedule in January, with concerts premiering Thursday evenings and educational and conversational programs premiering on Monday evenings.

Find out what happens to the beloved characters in Fiddler on the Roof after the musical ends. TEVYE SERVED RAW is an evening of Sholem Aleichem material, with adaptations of his Tevye stories (“What, Me Worthy?” and “Get Thee Gone!”), scenes from his own long-unseen Yiddish stage version, and three of his purely comedic stories, newly adapted (“Strange Jews on a Train,” “The Yiddish Sisyphus” and “A Stepmother’s Trash-Talk”).

Roundabout Theatre Company just announced that the current theatrical season will resume in Spring 2021, and has added the Broadway debut of Alice Childress's Trouble in Mind, directed by Charles Randolph-Wright, to its roster of upcoming shows. Childress was a Founding Member of the American Negro Theatre and the first African-American woman to be produced professionally in New York (Gold Through The Trees in 1952); Randolph-Wright is a celebrated director and writer whose play Blue had an acclaimed run at Roundabout in 2001. Trouble in Mind will premiere on Broadway at the American Airlines Theatre in Winter 2021/22.

East Lynne Theater Company commissioned Susan Tischler to create a one-person play based on Croy's book and perform it under the direction of Karen Case Cook, at The Chalfonte Hotel in 2008.  She later performed this comedy at ELTC's performance venue, The Cape May Presbyterian Church and on the road.
