The Washington Stage Guild will conclude its 2021-2022 season with Memoirs of a Forgotten Man by D.W. Gregory. The play, which had its world premiere at The Contemporary American Theatre Festival in 2018, takes place in the Stalinist Soviet Union, where a man’s inability to forget those whom the government has “erased” becomes increasingly problematic for him and his family.

Today, Indiana’s first Grammy®-nominated rapper and budding actor Freddie Gibbs releases  “Ice Cream.” Arriving ahead of his Coachella performance with Madlib, Gibbs  teams up with Rick Ross for a fiery rap anthem that finds the collaborators flexing their financial success and flipping birds over a thunderous track from Kenny Beats. Red Bull Theater today announced a special event staged reading of celebrated poet and activist Aimé Césaire’s A Tempest (Une Tempête), a striking adaptation of Shakespeare's celebrated Jacobean play through a post-colonial lens, translated from the French by Philip Crispin.

Following the announcement of his new project SICK!, Los Angeles rapper Earl Sweatshirt shares the 10-song tracklist including a brand new single and visualizer 'Titanic.' The Black Noi$e-produced track marks the third single arriving after '2010' and 'Tabula Rasa (feat. Armand Hammer)' and their respective visuals.

Three-time Olivier award-winning Alex Jennings will lead the cast in the world premiere of The Southbury Child, the new play by BAFTA winner Stephen Beresford.  Directed by Nicholas Hytner, the production will play at the Bridge Theatre next summer following an opening run at Chichester Festival Theatre.

In order to successfully complete the film, Mr. Realbuto had to lose over 100 pounds while filming as stated in his contract. After losing 154 pounds, he broke the world record for most weight lost for a movie role in cinema history. The record was most recently held by Christian Bale, who reportedly lost 63 pounds for 2004’s ‘The Machinist.’

The Blue Hill Troupe, New York City's only philanthropic musical theater group, will kick off its 98th season with Urinetown: The Musical, a sidesplitting sendup of greed, love, revolution, and musicals-set in a time when water is worth its weight in gold. Tony Award winners Mark Hollmann (music and lyrics) and Greg Kotis (book and lyrics) will attend the show at 2pm on Saturday, November 13, and give a talk-back following the performance.
