.Ensemble Theatre Company has announced its remount of its tour-de-force one-man show Vincent, which was presented at The Santa Barbara Museum of Art in March to sold-out audiences. 

Today, Strolling Bones Records releases Here Again: A Retrospective (1994-2002), a re-release of music by New Hampshire roots-rock band Say ZuZu. Strolling Bones founder George Fontaine Sr. originally tried to sign Say ZuZu in the 90s but the label deal fell through; with this retrospective, Strolling Bones is reintroducing the band and giving them a second shot. 

Brian May has shared a new and innovative video of “On My Way Up,” one of the highlights of his second solo album, 1998's Another World. The clip marks the release of the album in Brian's Gold Series, featuring the remastered original album alongside remixes, rarities and live tracks in the 2CD and box set formats. 

This year's graduating seniors have had anything but a normal high school experience and the past two years have taught them resilience, flexibility, and grace. Undoubtedly, they deserve a bit of celebration for their tenacity and courage. Luckily for students at Sonora High School, Todd Schroeder is back after a five-year hiatus to raise money for the Todd Schroeder Young Artists' Grant to benefit young graduates going into the arts. Todd himself is a graduate of Sonora High School who went on to a successful career as a pianist, composer, and music director. Since 1995, Todd has been giving back to the community with this grant. This year boasts an impressive lineup of celebrities, such as Jason Alexander of Seinfeld fame. Broadway World spoke to Todd about his organization and what we can look forward to at this year's benefit concert that will be happening in Sonora on April 30.

 OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival Miami, internationally acclaimed as one of the largest LGBTQ+ cultural festivals in the world, will open its 24th edition with the first Florida live screening of “B-Boy Blues” (2021) at The Black Archives Historic Lyric Theater on April 22 at 7 p.m. Producer Circle members and filmmakers will enjoy a 5:30 p.m. pre-event Filmmakers Soirée. The film will be followed by a live Q & A and an opening night party featuring cast from the film, filmmakers and Vanguard honoree Venezuelan actress, model, and philanthropist Patricia Velásquez.

TFANA will present Alice Childress’s Wedding Band. Director Awoye Timpo’s new staging, running April 23–May 15, brings Childress’s masterpiece to New York audiences for the first time since 1972, when it made its New York premiere in a production directed by Childress and Joseph Papp.

ThinkTank Theatre has set its casting for their upcoming production of The Giver, running at Stageworks Theatre in Channelside from November 19 through December 12, 2021, with a Relaxed Performance on Nov 20 at 3:00pm.

The State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton, PA, has announced its 2021-2022 Season, the 95th season at the historic venue.  Tickets for the new season will go on sale to State Theatre Members on Monday, August 2nd, and to the general public on Monday, August 9th.

The U.S. trek--which was originally scheduled for May of 2020--runs from August 10 – October 16 and will also feature festival appearances by Dropkick Murphys and Rancid at Riot Fest in Chicago on September 18 and Aftershock in Sacramento on October 8.

The Public Theater announced today that Free Shakespeare in the Park will return this summer with the delightful comedy MERRY WIVES, adapted by award-winning Jocelyn Bioh and directed by Associate Artistic Director and Resident Director Saheem Ali.
