Farmers Alley Theatre to Stage Production of BRIGHT STAR

From award-winning screenwriter and playwright Steve Martin (Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Roxanne) and chart-topping singer-songwriter Edie Brickell comes a world premiere American musical inspired by their Grammy Award-winning collaboration “Love Has Come For You.” Bright Star features nearly 20 new songs—Americana with a touch of rock—and tells a beguiling tale that unfolds in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina between 1923 and 1945. Billy Cane, a young soldier just home from World War II, meets Alice Murphy, the brilliant editor of a southern literary journal. Together they discover a powerful secret that alters their lives. This is the regional premiere of this entertaining musical about enduring love, family ties, and the light of forgiveness that shines from a bright star.

Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA) announces a brand new edition of Jokes on Main, its comedy series featuring the Tri-State's funniest stand-up comedians, Steve Shaffer, John McClellan, Patty Rosborough & Rich Aronovitch on Friday, June 24 at 8:00pm. Some material may not be suitable for children. Lobby and bar concessions open at 7pm. Tickets are $30 plus fees. Save $5 per ticket when ordering 10 or more tickets - use code GROUP2022. VAN GOGH ALIVE and SAMH Continue Partnership By Announcing Scottish School Students Artwork Campaign

Van Gogh Alive, the multi-sensory smash-hit exhibition created and produced by Grande Experiences, continues its fundraising partnership with Scotland's leading mental health charity, the Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) by launching a new artwork campaign. Artwork created by school students during the campaign will be auctioned for the charity at a special event at Van Gogh Alive Edinburgh in June.

Naumburg Orchestral Concerts Announces 117th Free Concert Series

 The Naumburg Orchestral Concerts announced the lineup for their 117th season today - The Knights, Handel and Haydn Society, A Far Cry, The Knights return with violinist Lara St. John and East Coast Chamber Orchestra (ECCO) closes out the 2022 season. All concerts will take place at 7:30 PM at the Naumburg Bandshell (Concert Ground, 72nd St, mid-park, New York, NY 10065). San Francisco Playhouse Announces 20th Season
