Following their first foray into digital in June, Raze Collective are back with a festive party complete with cocktail making and breakout rooms so audiences can hang out and have a drink together. Frankie Thompson, a visual artist and emerging idiot, will be dropping in with an aerial surprise, and two emerging queer acts will be presenting fabulous short performances: Cocktails Before the Revolution from Joé de Vivre & Tilda Death, and Thatcher-Rite: Tea-Time from Jack Boal.

The Brooklyn Academy of Music’s Board of Trustees today announced the election of Nora Ann Wallace as its new board chair and Natalia (Natasha) Chefer and Timothy Sebunya as vice chairs. Nora Ann Wallace has served on BAM’s board since 1997, and as vice chair since 2018.

The Town Hall has announced two streaming concert events to kick off 2021. The great Judy Collins will film a show onstage at The Town Hall to be broadcast February 12 and Mariza will record a concert in Lisbon, Portugal to be webcast January 29. Tickets to each event are $40 and go on sale December 1.

With their first audio effort, Kings, Studio demonstrates the versatility of Studio’s roster of actors and sound designers.  Director Marti Lyons, already a Helen Hayes award winner, establishes her chops in a purely audio medium, and demonstrates the theatre community’s ability to turn on a dime and produce a classic form of entertainment as if they were to the manner born.  Stuff like this is truly heartening.
