The nonprofit Sundance Institute announced several key aspects of the 2023 Sundance Film Festival (January 19-29, 2023), including the launch of this year’s various ticketing details, on-sale dates, venues, and the Festival online platform. Due to overwhelming demand, lead producer Colin Ingram, together with Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale, the creators of the Back To The Future film trilogy, are delighted to announce that BACK TO THE FUTURE The Musical’s performances at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End will extend to 23 July 2023 as it celebrates its first Birthday.

Dallas Theater Center's Clue, the first production of the 2022-2023 season, begins performances at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre. Clue is directed by Daytime Emmy Award-winning Alan Muraoka; who has appeared on Sesame Street, as well as directed, for more than 25 years. Viewers may recognize him as “Alan”, the beloved character who runs Mr. Hooper's store. 

Odyssey Theatre Ensemble will present a compelling revival of Nichols’ semi-autobiographical dark comedy, directed by Ethan Maniquis. Public previews begin October 5. Performances will continue through November 21 at the Odyssey’s three-theater complex in West L.A.

Atlantic for Kids has announced casting for the world premiere of Hearts Strings, written by Lee Cataluna and directed by Kat Yen. Performances will begin on Saturday, October 1st at Atlantic Theater Company’s Linda Gross Theater.

Bryant Park Picnic Performances are still warming up with three newly announced free concerts spotlighting new and established voices in the fields of jazz, classical and global pop. On September 9, Jazz at Lincoln Center will bring a rising star in the jazz world to Bryant Park: the 20 year old trumpeter Summer Camargo, playing with her Sextet.

 Duluth Playhouse's CLUE will open at the NorShor Theatre on Friday, August 12, 2022. Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount Pictures movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, CLUE is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery.

Miami City Ballet, one of the country's most acclaimed dance companies, and Brightline, the nation's only provider of modern, eco-friendly intercity passenger rail service in the nation, will bring a little more magic to the season of joy with special packages to see George Balanchine's The Nutcracker.

The Castle Craig Players have done it, with a first-rate cast, in Meriden, CT! On Saturday, July 30th, I had the pleasure of seeing a show that I had been looking forward to ever since it was first announced. As someone who has been a fan of the board game Clue since 1985, Clue the movie since 1986, and even Clue the VCR game, several years later, I was very excited to see CLUE, the play, as performed by the Castle Craig Players at the Almira F. Stephan Memorial Playhouse in Meriden, CT. The play is by Sandy Rustin, Hunter Foster, and Eric Price, based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn. Under the wonderful direction of Ian Galligan, the Castle Craig Players have successfully put on yet another phenomenal production that combines comedy with murder mystery!

The tenth and final week of the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival 2022 welcomes Miami City Ballet to the Ted Shawn Theatre, from Aug. 24-28, when the theater's new orchestra pit will be used for the first time.

The Crown Arts Collaborative (CAC), a 501(c)3 non-profit with a mission of returning theatre and art to the historic Crown Uptown Theatre, continues their inaugural theatrical season with The Wedding Singer, the Tony Award-nominated musical based on the 1998 Adam Sandler film of the same name. Performances run weekends July 15 - August 7 at the Crown Uptown, with Friday and Saturday showtimes at 8:00 PM, and Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM. This will be the regional premier of The Wedding Singer, the first time the show has been produced by a professional company in Wichita or surrounding markets.

Variety has just reported the death of Peter Brook at 97. He was a Tony and Emmy award winning british director.
