'It's The Hangmen he wanted to kill... we got run out of Cactusville,' laments Bryan Small on the album's title track of The Hangmen's seventh album. Flanked by longtime members Jimmy James (guitar), Angelique Congleton (bass) and newcomer Jorge Disguster (drums), Small recollects the harrowing tale of a gig in Tuscon promoting their major label debut. 'It was such a formative trip for us as a young band. There was death, drugs, booze, guns, girls and rock n' roll... and we met some new friends along the way.'

The new exhibition Bob Gruen: Rock Seen opens at the Morris Museum, featuring a selection of 72 works by one of rock & roll's best-known and most respected photographers. Active in the rock scene for over fifty years, Bob Gruen (b. 1945, New York) has shot some of the most memorable images of rock music's greatest artists. His photographic approach is distinguished by the ability to capture performers, both onstage and off, through candid images that convey the feeling of the moment. The show will be on view from June 21 November 10, 2019.

The heavily anticipated 10th anniversary special engagement of Storm Large's autobiographical, one-woman rock musical Crazy Enough opens June 25 on the U.S. Bank Main Stage. Crazy Enough broke records at The Armory in 2009 with a sold-out, 21-week run. Beginning with stories of a childhood complicated by her mother's schizophrenia, Large takes us through the ups and downs of the years that follow - sex, drugs, running away to California, and the saving grace of rock 'n' roll.  Crazy Enough features original songs by Large and James Beaton, including the hilarious and incredibly catchy "My Vagina is Eight Miles Wide." Original music director Beaton returns to the production. Crazy Enough will open on Large's 50th birthday.

CAPE FEAR REGIONAL THEATRE is bringing the 4-time Tony Award winning musical 'Memphis' to Fayetteville May 9-26. Directed by Suzanne Agins, with Music and Lyrics by David Bryan and Book and Lyrics by Joe DiPietro, this show stopping musical stars Shonica Gooden from Broadway's company of 'Hamilton'. The show is choreographed by Ellenore Scott ('King Kong', 'CATS', 'Head Over Heels') with music direction by Sarah Wussow.

It's been seven years since multi-platinum rock band ANGELS & AIRWAVES have played live and three years since they've released new music. The waiting ends with today's announcement of a much-anticipated tour and the release of new track “Rebel Girl”.

On December 4, 1956, at Sun Record Studios in Memphis, Tennessee, a great moment in rock 'n' roll history occurred, almost by chance. Record producer Sam Phillips, sometimes referred to as the "Father of Rock 'n' Roll," brought together the past, present, and future artists of his recording company for an impromptu jam session which was photographed and recorded for posterity. Nile Scott Hawver (Carl Perkins), Scheider (Jerry Lee Lewis), Austin Wayne Price (Johnny Cash), and Luke Linsteadt (Elvis Presley) act out their characters with just enough imitation to evoke the originals, while never sliding into caricature.

Beehive: The 60s Musical, takes audiences on a musical journey from hip to groovy to raw, from innocence to loss of innocence, and how the evolution of the music of the decade impacted and propelled the female empowerment movement. After hosting the World Premiere in 2007, Village Theatre is ecstatic to mount an all-new production of Million Dollar Quartet complete with a rock star team of professionals from around the country. The blockbuster hit story of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins is set to run in Issaquah May 9 - June 23, 2019 before moving to Everett June 28 - July 28, 2019.

Asheville, NC-based Travers Brothership have announced a lengthy tour in support of their latest release, Let The World Decide. Starting April 5th, the Brothership takes flight into new, uncharted territory, storming the east coast and deep south with their homegrown brand of funky, improvisation-driven rock and roll. Fans can see Travers Brothership in a headlining role for roughly half of this tour while the rest of the dates will be in support of fan favorites like Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band, Kyle Hollingsworth of String Cheese Incident, DJ Logic and Jeff Sipe, guitar hero Eric Gales, Southern Avenue, and JJ Grey & Mofro.

On Saturday, May 18th at 8PM at CMT Auditorium in New York City, the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony led by Maestro David Bernard, will perform the New York Premiere of an animated interpretation of Mussorgsky's 'Pictures at an Exhibition' set to live music.

 iHeartMedia and Fox Broadcasting Company (FOX) announced today that the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards will feature performances by Alicia Keys, Ariana Grande, Halsey, Garth Brooks, John Legend and Kacey Musgraves, with more to be announced. The live two-hour event airs Thursday, March 14 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.  The sixth annual iHeartRadio Music Awards will also air live on iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and iHeartRadio, the all-in-one digital music, podcast, on demand and live-streaming radio service.

Premium network EPIX has greenlit Punk, a four-part docuseries from executive producer John Varvatos.  Varvatos brings his passion and deep connection to the roots of the PUNK movement to the series, partnering with filmmaker Derik Murray's Network Entertainment to produce the quintessential story of punk.  The series is currently in production, and will premiere on EPIX on March 11, 2019 at 10 PM.
