After hosting the World Premiere in 2007, Village Theatre is ecstatic to mount an all-new production of Million Dollar Quartet complete with a rock star team of professionals from around the country. The blockbuster hit story of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins is set to run in Issaquah May 9 - June 23, 2019 before moving to Everett June 28 - July 28, 2019.

The true story of an all-day jam session between rock 'n' roll royalty, Million Dollar Quartet was first featured as part of The 2006 Village Originals Festival of New Musicals. A fan favorite, the show was quickly added to Village Theatre's Mainstage Season, premiering in Fall of 2007. Million Dollar Quartet immediately saw record-breaking success with audiences. The run enjoyed an unprecedented extension in Everett to accommodate popular demand and, true to the show's name, ticket sales exceeded a million dollars. To this day, it remains Village Theatre's best-selling new musical ever produced.

Million Dollar Quartet then went on to Chicago before moving to New York. Opening on Broadway in April of 2010, the production featured four cast members from Village Theatre's Mainstage production: Levi Kreis (Jerry Lee Lewis), Rob Lyons (Carl Perkins), Lance Guest (Johnny Cash), and bass player Corey Kaiser. The production was nominated for Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and won Levi Kreis a Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. Since closing on Broadway, Million Dollar Quartet has played on the West End in London, Off-Broadway, on a national tour, at Harrah's Las Vegas, and even on Norwegian Cruise Line.

Village Theatre's new Mainstage production of Million Dollar Quartet will feature an all-star cast and creative team of some of the most talented artists in the country. "For this show, casting is a huge challenge," said director Scott Weinstein. "Not only do we need amazing actors and singers, but they also need to be virtuosic musicians. When you add on the need for them to look and sound like the iconic stars that they are embodying, the challenge only increases. Luckily, we found an absolutely incredible cast!" The cast will feature Skye Scott (National Tours of Million Dollar Quartet and Jersey Boys) as Carl Perkins, Brian Grey (Norwegian Cruise Line production of Million Dollar Quartet) as Johnny Cash, Jason Kappus (National Tour of Jersey Boys) as Elvis Presley, John Countryman (National Tour, Chicago, and Las Vegas productions of Million Dollar Quartet) as Jerry Lee Lewis, Matt Wade (National Tours of The Producers and Oklahoma!) as Sam Phillips, Cayman Ilika (Village Theatre's Mary Poppins) as Dyanne, James 'Rif' Reif (2007 Village Theatre production of Million Dollar Quartet) as WS "Fluke" Holland, and Chris Jones as Brother Jay.

Director Scott Weinstein served as the Associate and Resident Director of the Broadway production of Million Dollar Quartet. He has also overseen the Equity National Tour, Chicago and Las Vegas productions, and currently directs the resident productions on Norwegian Cruise Lines and at the Lawrence Welk Theatre. Joining Weinstein is music director and country music superstar, Chuck Mead who has been with the show every step of the way, from Village Theatre to Broadway, and back to Village Theatre again. Rounding out the team of this all-new production is scenic designer Andrea Bryn Bush (Village Theatre's Pump Boys and Dinettes), lighting designer Geoff Korf (Village Theatre's Pump Boys and Dinettes), costume designer Esther Garcia, and sound designer Brent Warwick.
