The New York Youth Symphony Musical Theater Songwriting Program (NYYS) and Director Anna K. Jacobs have announced the 2021/2022 Season. Heading into its fourth season the NYYS Musical Theater Songwriting program is specially designed to lead students through a range of musical theater songwriting processes.

Belleville, ON-based, award-winning Red Dirt Skinners' latest single release 'Brighter Days Ahead' signifies the duo's foray into 70s-esque indie-pop easy-rock loud and clear.

The theatre will continue to offer a digital representation of shows for those who have been watching across the state and world, or are otherwise unable to visit the theatre in person.  They'll also continue to present closed captioned digital performances, and digital shows will still be offered on a pay-what-you-will basis.

Kimmel Cultural Campus has announced the much-anticipated return of in-person performing arts across their venues: the Kimmel Center, the Academy of Music, and the Merriam Theater. On September 18, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., Kimmel Cultural Campus will host a grand reopening event in Commonwealth Plaza to celebrate the start of the 2021-22 season.

Full casting has been announced for The Drifters Girl, a brand new musical starring Beverley Knight, which tells the remarkable story of one of the world's greatest vocal groups The Drifters and the woman who made them.

There will be no tickets required. The public is invited to come as they please, and bring their own blankets and picnics. Tetreault also plans to invite members of the Biden administration and other prominent figures to the performance.

The touring programme includes theatre with Nouveau Riche's dance-theatre piece, Resonate, written and performed by Ntonga Mwanza; Lung Theatre's Who Cares by Matt Woodhead which explores the experience of young carers; the bike-powered family comedy, How to Save a Rock, written by Conky Kampfner, Alex Rugman and Pigfoot; and Tim Crouch's reimagining of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night from the point of view of its most notoriously abused steward in I, Malvolio.
