Next week, 54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and beyond.

Stars from Broadway and West End will pay tribute to 8-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken on September 23rd with a concert and on September 24th with a concert and award ceremony where the acclaimed composer and songwriter will be honored with the Max Steiner Film Music Achievement Award by the city of Vienna.

The ever-adventurous Miller Theatre presents a full season of in-person programming for the first time since before the pandemic. Executive Director Melissa Smey, lauded for the integrity of her curating, has produced an invigorating season featuring four classic Miller series: Composer Portraits, Early Music, Bach, and Jazz.

Due to popular demand, the critically acclaimed play GRATITUDE written by playwright Oren Safdie, and directed by Maria Mileaf, will add an additional performance on Monday, June 27 at 7:30 PM.

Season of Concern, the emergency fund for Chicago theater artists, will present a one-night-only benefit performance of Jerry’s Girls, with music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, concepts by Larry Alford, Wayne Cilento, and Jerry Herman, direction by Ken-Matt Martin, and musical direction by Nigel D. Robinson.

Teatro Paraguas will host a poetry reading with renowned poets Richard Vargas, Margaret Randall and Demetria Martinez on Friday, June 24 at 6:00 p.m.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present Tony Award winner Linda Lavin in a special concert celebrating her most recent solo album, Love Notes, on Monday, June 27 at 7:00 PM. Ms. Lavin will be joined on stage (as on the album) by her longtime collaborator, pianist and singer Billy Stritch.

The Guthrie Theater announced the cast and creative team for Kate Hamill’s world-premiere adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel Emma, directed by Meredith McDonough.

Las Vegas Philharmonic and Music Director Donato Cabrera announce the 2022-23 concert season, with 9 performances in Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts and 3 Spotlight Concerts in Troesh Studio Theater. The 24th season for the LVP will include beautifully curated performances from September 17, 2022 through May 6, 2023.
