Slip into a 70s NYC Vibe at Ethyl's Alcohol & Food Ethyl's Alcohol & Food is a wild ride back into 1970s New York City that injects new life into an Upper East Side scene that was once the hottest part of town. Ethyl's was founded in May 2016 and is led by an eclectic team of rock stars who were there in the heyday of the disco, punk and rock 'n' roll scenes in NYC. Co-owner and designer Paul Gerard is an acclaimed NYC restaurateur, chef and musician known for capturing the retro spirit of the city with places such as Belle Reve and Exchange Alley, after revamping larger venues like Soho House, and Soho Grand Hotel. He has also ventured into TV with his show Work The Line, with executive producers Anthony Bourdain and Tom Colicchio. Without stopping there, he continued to use his creative energy to design his latest project, Antique Bar & Bakery in Hoboken. (more...)

Barrington Stage Company (recently voted Best of The Berkshires) set a new record at the opening night of Stephen Sondheim's COMPANY last night. There appeared to be more selfie photos attempted of Aaron Tveit the show's star and cast leaving the stage door of the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage than happen by the ever present throngs in Broadway's Shubert Alley a show. Aaron, who was Bobby in the extraordinary production directed by BSC's founder and artistic director Julianne Boyd, was mobbed by  what seemed like the entire audience asTveit and the cast tried exit the stage door and continue on to the after party at the home of BSC Chair, Minky and Bruno Quinson.  (more...)
