From Wednesday, July 24 through Tuesday, August 6, BAM presents We Can't Even: Millennials on Film, a 14-day, 27-feature, three-short series that takes a prismatic approach to the experiences of a much-maligned and frequently misunderstood generation, featuring films by Barry Jenkins, Celine Sciamma, Gus Van Sant, Kenneth Lonergan, Xavier Dolan, Greta Gerwig, Sofia Coppola, the Safdie brothers, and others.   

THE TORONTO FRINGE FESTIVAL presents its free for all pop-up patio, POSTSCRIPT in the hockey rink at 275 Bathurst St (Dundas and Bathurst). This beautiful outdoor patio is for everyone - a lounge, an artistic hub, a community space, a full-service bar with delicious food, and this year will feature a 6 day music festival, PS: MUSIC FEST. POSTSCRIPT is open July 3 to 14 from noon until 2am each evening, (and 4am on Saturdays) and will feature a schedule of free music, art installations, and surprise guests.

Celebrated Tony, Emmy and Grammy nominated producer of five-time Tony Award-nominated ROCK OF AGES Broadway show Matthew Weaver announced today that the production will return to its LA roots -- where it first started in 2005 at King King on Hollywood Boulevard -- with the opening of ROCK OF AGES Hollywood this September.

Season 17 kicks off with the crowd-pleasing, Tony-nominated jukebox musical Rock of Ages. Directed by Sean Murray, this exhilarating rock and roll experience runs July 2 through August 25, 2019. Opening Night for media is Saturday, July 6 at 8:00PM.

Storm Large is a rock star, a memoirist, and the creator/star of the autobiographical musical CRAZY ENOUGH, which was originally commissioned by Portland Center Stage at The Armory. Premiering in 2009, CRAZY ENOUGH ran for 21 weeks straight and still holds the record as the longest-running and most successful show in PCS history. The show is coming back for a very limited engagement this month.

Now in its eleventh consecutive year, the multi-award-winning Finborough Theatre presents Vibrant 2019 A Festival of Finborough Playwrights, its annual explosion of new writing, running between 16 June-4 July 2019.

Old Forester's Paristown Hall, Louisville's newest state-of-the-art standing room venue, has announced a roster of performances for its opening in late July. These acts include iconic New York rock band Interpol, Memphis country-punk rockers Lucero and singer-songwriter sensation Gavin DeGraw.  The Opening Night event on July 23 will be headlined by Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, along with a slate of performers including the dance troupe Pilobolus, Mucca Pazza and local favorite Ben Sollee. 

Cue Zero Theatre Company announces auditions for the Pulitzer Prize winning rock musical Next To Normal on Tuesday June 4th at 6:00p, with call backs on Thursday June 6th. Auditions will be held at Kimball Jenkins Estate (266 N Main St) in Concord. Rehearsals will be held Tuesdays/Thursday/Sunday evenings starting June 11th in Manchester, and performances are August 16th-25th at the Hatbox Theater in Concord, NH.

Queer|Art, New York City's home for the creative and professional development of LGBTQ+ artists, is pleased to announce the Summer 2019 season of Queer|Art|Film at IFC Center (323 Sixth Avenue at West 3rd St.), May 13-August 26. Curated by filmmakers Ira Sachs and Adam Baran, the season features films about (and starring) fierce, funny, and fabulous women, presented by a multigenerational lineup of queer drag icons, playwrights, and performance artists.

May is Lower East Side History Month, and Queer|Art is the new kid on the LES block, having recently relocated their offices from Nolita to the East Village this past year. Heralding their arrival to the neighborhood, they've organized four days of programming throughout May to celebrate the queer past, present, and future of their beloved new East Village home.

San Jose rock band Stickup Kid is back with a new album, 'Soul Drive,' which will be released on May 3rd. Formed in 2009, the band was previously signed to Billie Joe Armstrong's Adeline Records. 'Soul Drive' is their first new full-length since 2013's 'Future Fire.'

Closing out the Town Hall Theatre 2018/19 Lost & Found Season with a bang is WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN, a sizzling musical farce of female resilience, with book by Jeffrey Lane, music and lyrics by David Yazbek, based on the Academy Award nominated film by Pedro Almod var. After two sold-out seasons in Cape Town, The Good, The Bad and The Fugly is headed for their first ever performances in Somerset West. Inspired by true South African stories that seem too ridiculous to be true, The Good, The Bad and The Fugly is a musical comedy which explores social interactions behind the safety of our screens. Three women, three social media accounts and three times the drama. A tongue-in-cheek musical comedy exposing all the hilarious consequences of online personas, strong opinions and bad behaviour. This production showcases the good, the bad and the downright ugly and gives us all an opportunity to laugh at ourselves. Maxie Solters, Studio City native and founder of V-Day Studio City, is bringing author/activist Eve Ensler's award winning play, The Vagina Monologues, to The Federal Bar in North Hollywood on Saturday, April 13 at 8PM and Sunday, April 14 at 1PM.

American rock band Royal Bliss released a new single titled 'Pain' that impacted radio April 2, 2019. In support of the single, Royal Bliss will hit the road supporting Through Fire on the All Animal Tour. The tour will make 18 stops around the U.S. kicking off on May 12th in Denver, CO at The Oriental Theater and wrapping up June 1st in Atlanta, GA at The Masquerade (Hell).  In 1962, fifty-seven years ago, the magnificent TONY BENNETT recorded "I Left My Heart in San Francisco."  The song was honored with two Grammy Awards, including "Record of the Year" and gave Tony a signature tune that, as he delights in saying, has made him "A Citizen of the World."  Last March, the classic was entered into the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress as "an aural treasure worthy of preservation." Now in 2019, and about to turn an ageless 93, the legendary performer -  himself a world treasure - continues to leave his heart in each song that he sings and in every aspect of his life.

Next To Normal, the Pulitzer and Tony Award winning rock musical, written by Brian Yorkey with music by Tom Kitt, will be presented by Whidbey Island Center for the Arts for a three week run beginning on April 5.

GRAMMY® Award-winning Atlanta hard rock juggernaut Mastodon celebrate and commemorate the 10th anniversary of their groundbreaking 2009 concept album, Crack The Skye (Reprise Records), with special live performances, exclusive merchandise, and unreleased visual content throughout 2019. This summer, the band joins forces with Coheed and Cambria to co-headline The Unheavenly Skye Tour.
