FSCJ Artist Series High School Summer Musical Theatre Experience is celebrating its 17th year providing theatre opportunities to 7th-12th graders in the First Coast area. This summer, from July 21 through July 30, more than 50 student performers and technicians will train with professional theatre artists in preparation for our production of Sister Act.  

Universal Theatrical Group (UTG), Universal Pictures’ live theater division, announced development of the musical IMITATION OF LIFE, based on the novel by Fannie Hurst and the Universal Pictures films, with book by Lynn Nottage, music and lyrics by John Legend, and directed by Liesl Tommy.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has announced the selection of five Honorees who will receive the 46th Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievements. Learn more about the honorees here!

Executive producers of the series include Charlize Theron, Liz Garbus, Dan Cogan, Jon Bardin, and Kate Barry, and it is a production of Story Syndicate (HBO’s “I’ll Be Gone In The Dark”), and based on the award-winning book “Last Call: A True Story of Love, Lust and Murder in Queer New York” by Elon Green.

Aladdin will begin performances in San Francisco at BroadwaySF’s Orpheum Theatre on Wednesday, August 2 for a limited engagement through Sunday, August 13.
