Illustrator Lisa Congdon has been selected as the commissioned artist for the 2021 holiday installation at Rockefeller Center. From November 22, 2021 through January 9, 2022, over a dozen of Congdon's large-scale printed vinyl murals will be on view throughout the campus' indoor and outdoor public areas. A free Rockefeller Center limited edition holiday map featuring Congdon's celebrated illustrations will be available to visitors, as well as all those who work at the Center.

After a 17-month pandemic-induced hiatus, Playhouse on the Square has finally opened its doors again to an in-person audience with its season premiere of DAYS OF RAGE (now through September 19th). But just when we thought it was safe to congregate again, Shelby County is now wrestling with the ongoing challenges of the latest COVID Delta Variant and theatres across the Mid-South find themselves scrambling to figure out how to present much-needed live theatre without killing anyone. For now, Playhouse seems content to socially distance the audience, while still allowing the actors to perform without masks or shields. Memphis theatres may have thought they were at the end of this nightmare, but, in many ways, it feels like they are right back at the beginning.

While Disney's Frozen, which was previously announced as part of Broadway In Detroit's 2021-22 season, will be scheduled for a future Detroit engagement, Broadway In Detroit has announced that Disney's The Lion King will return to The Detroit Opera House in early 2022. Performance dates and times will be announced at a future date.

The criteria are that these shows have been nominated for Best Musical from the 3rd Tony Awards (the ceremony that started the Best Musical category) in 1949 to the nominations of what will now be the 74th Tony Awards in 2021. Starting Tuesday, April 14, American Dad! is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a selection of episodes handpicked by the series' co-creator Matt Weitzman. Formed by UK Subs and ex-Iggy Pop bassist Alvin Gibbs, the Disobedient Servants feature a core threesome of Gibbs on lead vocals and bass guitar duties, fellow UK Sub drummer Jamie Oliver and The Ruts' guitarist Leigh Heggarty. The group enlisted a host of supporting players for their debut album Your Disobedient Servant, including Brian James of The Damned, James Stevenson Gen X/Gene Loves Jezebel, Mick Rossi of Slaughter & The Dogs, Barrington Francis of The Saints, The Godfathers' Steve Crittall (who also co-produced) and more!
