Casting has been confirmed for the Broadway production of Mrs. Doubtfire, the new musical comedy with a book by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell and music and lyrics by Wayne Kirkpatrick and Karey Kirkpatrick, directed by Jerry Zaks.

Blake Allen, known for his innovative bridging of contemporary music and theater through composition, performance, and storytelling, announces the release of his world premiere recording of the shards of an honor code junkie, distributed by No Reverse Records, September 17, 2021.

The Muny’s 103rd season closes next week with a production of Kander and Ebb’s classic musical Chicago. J. Harrison Ghee returns to The Muny to lead the company as Velma Kelly. Ghee was last seen at The Muny as Lola in Kinky Boots in 2019. Broadway World sat down with Ghee to learn about returning to The Muny in this production of Chicago.

Hill Country Community Theatre has announced its 2021-22 season featuring the musical comedy “Nunsense A-Men!,” a holiday comedy “A Doublewide, Texas Christmas,” an evening of sketches from “The Carol Burnett Show,” the new comedy “Breakfast Club,” and the musical “Destry Rides Again.” 

After what will be a 23-month intermission, The Muny's 103rd season will open with the Muny premiere of Smokey Joe's Cafe, followed by The Sound of Music, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, On Your Feet! and Chicago.
