A new multi-space, multi-dimensional 42,000 sq. ft. art, entertainment and events destination, Epiphany Center for the Arts, 201 S. Ashland Ave., formerly the iconic Church of the Epiphany, will open this winter. One of the largest cultural venues in the city and a designated Chicago landmark, this architecturally significant property has been acquired in a multi-million-dollar transaction by Chicago Developer David Chase; he along with his wife, Kimberly Rachal have lovingly preserved the historic church and its adjacent buildings. The revitalization and renovation project, which houses artifacts from the church originally built in 1885, will feature three unique event spaces, a café, courtyard and other ancillary spaces to support the visual, performing and culinary arts. Epiphany Center for the Arts will once again become a place for the community to congregate, All for the Good of Art, Entertainment and Events.

If you were to look back on your childhood, one of the first books you probably read was a Dr. Seuss book. The books have become a rite of passage as the stories are passed down from generation to generation. In 2012, I had the pleasure to be involved in a production of a show and this weekend I got to share the show with a new generation by taking my friend's 5-year-old daughter to the show. That show was Des Moines Young Artists' Theatre's (DMYAT) production of a?oeSeussical: Jr.a?? This whimsical production is a reminder to adults about the power of imagination and shows the magic that happens when young artists get to tell stories on stage.

Trinity Rep closed its sold-out, record-breaking production of the world premiere play The Prince of Providence on October 27, after an extended seven-week run. The play was written by George Brant, based on the New York Times bestseller of the same name by Mike Stanton, and was directed by Taibi Magar. It covered the rise and fall of Providence's former mayor, Vincent A. a?oeBuddya?? Cianci. Prior to its Opening Night on September 16, the show became the highest-grossing, non-holiday production in the organization's 56-year history, breaking the record set by My Fair Lady in 2000. More than 13,000 people saw the show in Trinity Rep's intimate 250-seat Dowling Theater.

Today Ringo Starr announced details for a North American tour with his current All Starr Band featuring Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Gregg Rolie, Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette, and Hamish Stuart. The tour will begin at Casino Rama in Rama Ontario, where Starr has performed many times, and launched several previous tours (2001, 2003, 2006 and 2014). It will include a mini residency at New York's Beacon Theater and three tour dates with multi-Grammy Award nominated Americana legends The Avett Brothers - at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor Maine, at Boston's Boch Center Wang Theatre and at the Bank of NH Pavilion in Gilford, New Hampshire. Kiln Theatre today announces their programme as part of Sadiq Khan's wider Brent London Borough of Culture 2020. The programme includes the world première of Zadie Smith's The Wife of Willesden directed by Artistic Director Indhu Rubasingham, renewing their collaboration following the acclaimed world première stage adaptation of Smith's White Teeth in 2018, Footholds: NW Stories; a trilogy of short plays by Moira Buffini, Suhayla El-Bushra and Roy Williams, and the fourth annual Mapping Brent project, supported by the Brent 2020 Culture Fund. Kiln Theatre will also lead The Agency, a programme for young people in Brent to workshop and pitch unique business and social enterprise ideas for funding and support.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, which is entering its 85th year, today announced the casts for the 2020 season, featuring some of the most beloved performers from OSF's history alongside newcomers from around the country.
